2) Reading. Етап читання.

Учні отримують картки (НО), cамостійно читають текст та виконують завдання про-тягом 5—6 хвилин.

How Important Are Hairstyles In The Workplace?
Hairstyles can say many things. They show fashion trends,		(culture)
statements and declarations of		(individual). Lately, more and more

people have been the victims of «bad hair days» because it seems that

(certainly) employers have become more concerned with how employees wear their

hair than how well they perform on the job.
Many would wonder, «What’s hair got to do with it? How		(impor-
tance) are hairstyles in the workplace?»

«Image is everything on the job and the way a person wears his or her hair does make a statement», says noted etiquette expert Harriette Cole, president and

		(create) director of «Profundities», a New York-based image
and				(develop) production company.
«The first		(impress) you make is a visual one», she explains. «It’s

important to be aware of what your presentation says about you and that includes the way you wear your hair. A conservative version of your hairstyle is going to be more welcomed than the one that is more (artfulness).

And cultural hairstyles such as cornrows (when hair is plaited close to the scalp in a pattern of cornrows), braids, twists (when hair is twisted into coils) and dreadlocks

(when hair is palm-rolled and left in its		(nature) state) are the
styles most often unwelcomed in the workplace».

Men, as she observes, tend to face more resistance than women in the workplace when they choose to stray from conservative hairstyles. «(Tradition),

men are more conservative and are expected to be more conservative. In America,

conservative means shorter,		(close) cropped hair. If you go from

3) Post-Reading Activity. Етап перевірки розуміння змісту тексту.

а) Учні ланцюжком читають доповнений текст по два-три речення та перекладають його рідною мовою.

б) Бесіда з учнями.

Учитель пропонує учням висловити свою думку щодо інформації тексту. Двоє-троє учнів відповідають, решта доповнюють, якщо необхідно. Учитель стежить за пра-вильністю граматичної будови речень.

Speaking 3. Розвиток умінь мовлення.

1) Впр. 6 (с. 25).

Клас поділяється на групи по четверо учнів. Учні в групах обговорюють запитання вправи протягом 5 хвилин. По закінченні роботи представники від кожної групи повідомляють результати обговорення. Учитель стежить за правильністю виконан-ня завдання.

2) Впр. 7 (с. 26).

Учні самостійно готують розповіді за завданням вправи протягом 5 хвилин. Потім троє-четверо з них по черзі розповідають про своїх друзів за допомогою поданого плану. Учитель контролює правильність граматичної будови речень.
