Учні ланцюжком читають речення з дієсловами пасивного стану.

2) РЗ, впр. 2 (с. 54).

Один з учнів зачитує розташовані у правильному порядку частини тексту вправи.

3) РЗ, впр. 3 (с. 54).

Двоє-троє учнів читають свої електронні листи. Учитель стежить за правильністю виконання завдань.

4) Впр. 16 (с. 210).

Один-два учні зачитують свої міні-твори. Ще три-чотири зошити учитель збирає на перевірку вибірково.

Гра «Pros and Cons».

Клас поділяється на дві групи. Учитель розкладає на столі картки (НО₁) текстом донизу. Член однієї з команд підходить до столу, бере одну з карток та вголос читає, що на ній написано. Учні з обох команд протягом однієї хвилини мають підготувати перелік переваг та вад названого винаходу. (Одна з команд обговорює переваги цього винаходу, інша — його недоліки. Можна запропонувати обом командам підготувати перелік як переваг, так і недоліків.) По закінченні часу представники від кожної команди повідомляють результати обговорення. Учитель разом з командою експертів (два учні) визначають команду, аргументи якої були більш переконливі. Вона отримує один бал, і її представник бере наступну картку. Перемагає команда, яка отримає більше балів. Експерти можуть надавати додаткові бали за граматично правильно висловлені аргументи.

People need bathing. Hospital patients need bathing too and to speed up this process, may we suggest the Human Car Wash? The HCW eliminates slipping and falling because the washers are strapped into a hanging straps and merely need to stand in a fixed position while the conveyor belt moves them from station to station. First, the wetting station, then the soapy spray station, next the rinsing station and at the end no towels are needed because there’s a blow drying station!

That’s right, with every step you are activating the compressor chamber and forcing cool air up into your shoe via a rubber whoopee cushion for the sole. The foot sole that is. In principle, we love this idea. We just hope they don’t make strange sounds as you take each step.
