Мета: навчити учнів читати слова з буквосполученнями ou, ow; навчити учнів одержувати інформацію з прочитаного тексту.

Зміст роботи

Етап 1. Навчання читання слів із буквосполученнями ou, ow. Прийом 1: Читання слів на картках за вчителем. Прийом 2:Озна­йомлення з прави­лами читання буквосполучень ou, ow Прийом 3:Читан­ня слів з буквоспо-лученнями ou, owта речень з цими словами. Етап 2. Виконання тесту перехресного ви­бору. Прийом:Співвід­несення графіч­ного образу слова з його транскрип­цією. Етап 3. Читання казки "The Kitten and the Mouse". Прийом 1:Пошук у тексті речень з но­вими словами та читання їх уголос. Прийом 2:Читан­ня тексту про себе. Етап 4. Виконання після-текстових вправ. Прийом 1:Визна­чення речень, що відповідають змісту казки, і читання їх уголос. Прийом 2:Лаконіч­ні відповіді на запи­тання. Прийом 3:Завер­шення речень за змістом.

Т: Look at the card with the word. Read each word after me: T: house Cl: house T: town Cl: town etc. (На картках написані слова house, mouse, now, about, clown, loud, town, brown, в яких зеленим кольором виділені буквосполучення ou, ow) T: Який однаковий подвійний звук ви почули у словах house, town? P: /au/. T: Отже буквосполучення ou, ow, які виділені зеленим кольором, вимовляються однаково подвійним звуком (дифтонгом). Дивіть­ся на табличку:

OU-	/аu/	out
OW-		now

T: Read the words with the letter combinations ou, ow.

T: Now read the sentences.

T: Today you'll read the tale "The Kitten and the Mouse". This tale is about a clever little mouse. I tnink you'll like the tale. But before you read it, let's play a game. I'll show you a card with a word or a sentence on it. First look at the card and then try to find this word or sentence in the tale. So open your books at page __ and find the tale. I see you are ready. Let's start. (Учитель показує картку зі словом yard) (Учні шукають речення з цим словом)

Р₁ (читає вголос): A kitten sees a mouse in the yard.

T: So, Sasha was the quickest...

Далі учні відшукують такі речення і перекладають їх: We shall play - Ми будемо грати. І shall not come out. - Я не вийду.

Т: Now you can read the tale.

The Kitten and the Mouse

A kitten sees a mouse in the yard. The kitten runs after the mouse. The mouse runs into the house. "Come here!" says the kitten to the mouse. "We shall play in the yard." But the mouse says, "Oh, no, I shall not come out. I do not want to play with you." What a clever little mouse!

T: Have you finished reading the tale? Now we'll check how well you understand it. Which of the following sentences are true to the tale? Read them aloud.

1) A kitten sees a mouse in the garden.

2) The kitten runs after the mouse.

3) The mouse runs into the house.

4) "We shall play in the house," says the kitten to the mouse.

5) " I shall come out and play with you in the yard," says the mouse.

6) What a clever little mouse!

T: Give laconic answers to the questions.

T: Where does the kitten see the mouse?

T: Who says, "I do not want to play with you"?

P₄: The mouse.

T: Who is clever?

P₅: The mouse.

T: Complete the sentences from the tale "The Kitten and the Mouse"

The mouse says, "I do not want to...". The mouse runs into the....

The kitten runs after the.... The kitten says to the mouse, "Come here! We shall play in the...". What a clever little...!
