3. Він ніколи не вмів гарно грати на сцені. Надуманість його жестів доходила до безглуздя, штучний пафос псував все, а слова він декламував з нудотною педантичністю учня якого-небудь другорядного викладача красномовства.

4. Коли він з’явився, спалахнули вогні рампи, та знову піднялась завіса. Та його вид був блідий, йому здавалось, що цієї постанові не буде кінця. Коли грали останню дію, ряди були майже порожні.
