Shipping Documents

With the equipment the Supplier shall send to the Customer the follow­ing shipping documents accepted in Russia for export deliveries:

a) Original Bill of Lading;

b) Shipping Specification (1);

c) Quality Certificate (1);

d) Packing Sheet (1).

One set of the shipping documents including one copy of the Invoice shall be airmailed to the Customer.

6. Guarantees

The equipment to be delivered under the present contract shall be in full conformity with the standards in force in Russia or with norms of the plants manufacturing the equipment.

The Supplier shall guarantee the quality of the delivered equipment for 12 months from the date of putting the equipment into operation but for not more than 18 months from the date of delivery of the last consignment.

If during the guarantee period the equipment proves to be defective the Supplier shall at his cost eliminate the defects within the shortest possible time or replace the defective equipment.

7. Terms of Payment

Payment shall be made in... in accordance with the Trade Agreement between... and... of 20....

The terms of payment are the following:

a) 20 per cent of the total value of the present Contract amounting to... shall be paid within 30 days of the date of signing the present Contract by remittance to the account of Vnesheconombank with the State Bank of the Customer;

b) for the following 80 per cent of the total contract value amounting to... the Customer shall open an irrevocable confirmed Letter of Credit with Vnesheconombank within 30 days of the date of the Supplier's cable notifi­cation of readiness. The Letter of Credit shall be valid for 24 months.
