be (all) for the best of one’s knowledge, ability — used to say that although sth appears bad or unpleasant now, it will be good in the end;

have/get the best of sth — to gain more advantage from sth than sb else;

make the best of sth — to accept a bad or difficult situation and do as well as you can.
