· To assist engineers in preparing equipment / circuits before starting / after stopping.

· To perform general surveillance of running machinery as directed by the Watch Keeping duty Engineer.

· To ensure adequate reserves of lubricating and hydraulic oils in working and reserve tanks for consumption by running machinery.

· To operate the work maintenance in engine room and on deck equipment, as required by first Engineer

· To maintain the above equipment, comprising engine room, in a clean, tidy and working condition and ensure the safe utilization of the equipment.

· To assist engineers and fitters in repair and maintenance duties of all equipment operated on / from the vessel.

· To be familiar with and adhere to the permit to work system.

· To report areas of potential danger to the Watch Keeping duty Engineer.

· Perform duties of fire team member and damage control team.

· Any additional duties within own experience and capability as advised by the First Engineer

 

AUTHORITY

 

· Execution of the assigned work tasks within the frame of his responsibilities as directed by the 1st Engineer

· Cease operations, which he deems not safe to be continued and notify the 1st Engineer

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

· As per Company external qualification and training matrix.

· English language spoken.

 

EXPERIENCE

 

· At least three (3) years.

· One (1) years service experience on marine engines, and crane equipment.

· Preferable Marine Certificate Education or Similar.

 


1.1.1.1.11 Mechanic

 

RESPONSIBLE TO Mechanic Foreman
OBJECTIVE Operation, maintenance and repair of Vessel and construction equipment.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

· To operate all mechanical plant and equipment for construction purposes.

· Carry out planned maintenance and repair of mechanical / hydraulic equipment used for construction.

· Carry out planned maintenance and repair of mechanical / hydraulic equipment on deck

· Carry out planned maintenance and repair of fast rescue craft.

· Carry out servicing and repair of hydraulic hammer equipment in accordance with manufacturer instructions.

· Service and repair to cranes and tugger hoists.

· To maintain the above equipment, comprising workshop, in a clean, tidy and working condition and ensure their safe utilization.

· To be familiar with and adhere to the permit to work system

· To report areas of potential danger to the Mechanic Foreman.

· Perform duties as damage control team member.

 

AUTHORITY

 

· Execution of the assigned work tasks within the frame of his responsibilities as directed by the Mechanic Foreman.

· Cease operations, which he deems not safe to be continued and notify the Mechanic Foreman
