People in English-speaking countries try to avoid imposing their will on somebody else. This is why invitations they make look rather like questions to the speakers of Russian.

Разыграйте в парах диалоги, чтобы продемонстрировать разнообразные формы приглашений и вежливого отказа:
1. Before some sport event, give your good wishes to the participants and referees.
2. After the successful game congratulate the participants on their victory in an informal style (orally) and formally (in writing). Work in pairs.
3. Say a word of sympathy for the losers / outsiders.
4. Act out the dialogues, illustrating different forms of accepting and refusing invitations.
