Задание 1. Порядок выполнения задания. Составьте небольшие диалоги, используя приведенные ниже вопросы в задании (А). В задании (В) выразите свое несогласие с данными утверждениями. Для этого, используйте необходимые фразы и выражения из таблицы с лексикой речевого этикета.

 

Сочувствие
- Things are bad with him. - He's had a bad accident. - He has to go to hospital. - I/we once went… - You’ll never guess what happened to me/us… - Did you hear/Did I tell you what happened…? - I/we had a(an) really/awful/terrible experience … and then to make matters worse … - I'm sorry (to hear that) - I'm so sorry for you! - How well I understand you! - Oh dear! /Oh no!/What a shame! - How awful/terrible/disappointing! - What a (an) terrible experience/absolute nightmare! - Oh, I’m really sorry to hear that… You must be/ feel really disappointed / angry… - Everything will be all right. - Take it easy. / Cheer up! /Forget it. - Never mind! / Don't worry! / Don't get upset. - Crying won't help. - Pay no attention. - Let's hope for the best.

Is something the matter? - Is there a problem? What’s up? - I find … very worrying. - I’m extremely nervous of … - … gives some cause for concern. - I’m afraid of … - I’m uneasy about … - I’m very anxious… - I have some problems, you know … - I fear … - I’m worried / scared of … - I’m worried sick about / by … - I’m really in a flap. - I’m scared sick.

(A)Make up short dialogues using one of the following key questions. Work in pairs or small groups.

1) Did you enjoy your trip by air?

2) Is my luggage overweight? Do I have to pay extra? How much?

3) Has flight 318 been already announced?

4) Do you get airsick when on a plane?

5) Stewardess, when are we due to Moscow? Aren’t we late?

6) The plane will take off in a minute, won’t it?

7) Have you fastened your belt already?

8) Was it a non-stop flight?

(B) Express your disagreement with the statements. Try to avoid simple negation or strong, unqualified objection.

1) No meals are usually served on long-distance flights.

2) The flight is delayed because of fine weather.

3) The quickest way to get to London from Minsk is by car.

4) There is no direct air service between Minsk and London.

5) Passengers are allowed to smoke only when the plane is taking off or landing.

6) Tickets for planes are bought only at the airport.

7) Moscow has only one big airport.

8) Airports are usually near the centre of the city.

 

Задание 2. Порядок выполнения задания. Представьте себе, что вы только что вернулись из поездки за границу. Ваш друг собирается поехать в эту страну через неделю. Разыграйте с партнером диалог, в котором он должен расспросить вас обо всем, что вы видели и где побывали в этой стране.

Model:

A: I visited Spain last summer.

B: Did you enjoy it? …

What’s the best time of the year? What’s the weather like then? What should tourists see and do there? What’s the food like? What’s the shopping like? What things should people buy? What else should visitors do there?

Задание 3. Порядок выполнения задания. Используя следующие диалоги как образцы, составьте свои собственные.
