The promise in the Bible (Isa. 49:10) is “they shall not hunger nor thirst”. And Jesus said to the Samaritan woman that they who drank of the water he gave should never thirst. This water, and this freedom from human hunger and thirst, is the understanding that Life is God, and so is self-supporting, self-renewing, self-complete. It is the self-existence that is not derived from anything outside of itself, and so is never subject to be deprived by anything outside of itself.
The mortal misconception of life as personal and material is always requiring something from outside, and so lives in constant fear of being deprived by this same outside. But you have no life of your own separate from God, and so no fear of losing a single bit of good. Your safety lies in the fact that there is no alternative to this complete, happy, full, and fulfilled being that is God and man.
The truth of what Life is feeds and sustains and renews you. Nothing else can do it. What appears as temporary food and clothing (S&H 442:22) is just the way the sustaining bread of Life appears for the moment, but the only fact is this Life. You lack nothing.
Always watch cause, not effect. Only allow that which comes from the divine Mind, and is Life, to be your thinking and so causative in your experience.
Barn House, 3rd March 1997
The mortal is a state of fear because it has no life, truth or substance in it, for it is just supposition. It seems real to itself, but because its supposed selfhood is a misstatement of what is true, it is afraid of its inevitable finite state. But a misstatement of Life never made an alternative to Life, and the great fact is that “Life is the everlasting I AM, the Being who was is and ever shall be, whom nothing can erase” (S&H 290:1-2). Your Life is God, and not in or subject to a single material condition. See S&H 27:10-21. Life is I.

Reason yields to revelation, and then comes the moment when the allness of good is realised and felt.
We are educated to think that some form or combination of qualities as it appears on the human scene is substance, while the elements from which form emerges are the non-defined shadow. Science teaches the opposite. S&H 349:31-1 and 351:27-2. You are not “an opponent of CS”.
Soul, the one ‘I’ and source of all awareness, is never divided. Being never becomes beings. See 91:1-6; 505:16-17.
So let human sense weep if it wishes. That is Love’s safety valve until revelation shows there is no more sorrow or pain.
Norfolk, 2004
Not for a moment do I fail to understand what you are facing, for it is the collective weight of accumulated human education. Nevertheless, the truth is that “Love alone is Life” (Mis. 388:10) and this Life is eternal, indivisible, and incorporeal. The life of man is never in form, but remains in and of Life itself. Love could not permit anything so unkind as a life separate from its source.
To see a mortal, dead or alive, good or bad, young or old, sick or well, is to cease to love, for it accepts the suggestion that Love, which is our Mind, can lose sight of its loveliness. I cannot lose sight of the loveliness and presence of My own being. S&H 469:5.

Do take Ret. 56:5-11 and 22 only. Also 57:15-17 and 22-23.
Oneness means the same Life for God and man. Blending and coexisting with God means that you do not live as any sort of person, but as the effortless shining forth of the infinite. In this there is no physicality, no material sense of sensation, no personal and private ambition, and no self to develop except God.
The whole plural sense of being is outside the Ego, outside the closet in which you enter and stay. Prayer is not a mortal appealing to God, but “humble protests of Truth” (S&H 12:13-14)—in other words, Truth proclaiming Truth.

We read in the Textbook that “The description of man as purely physical, or as both material and spiritual,—but in either case dependent upon his physical organization,—is the Pandora box, from which all ills have gone forth, especially despair” (S&H 170:28-31). But the fact is that I do not live and never have lived in that box. It is the box of circumscribed experience, within which mortals appear to go about their daily lives. It is the box of limited opportunity, limited resources, limited vision. It is the box of competition, rivalry, envy.
Within it are many other little boxes,—a box for church, a box for home, for work, for supply, etc. Each little box has the same limitations, and this cannot be otherwise since they all take on the same character of mortal mind, alias Pandora.
Pandora launched the TV show called “This is your life.” It allocated a personal history to each character. It says that had you had better opportunities, a better education, different sort of parentage, another social class, or if there had not been a war, a disaster, a bereavement, or what have you, then what you call your life (within the box, of course) could have been otherwise. Is it any wonder that the first expectancy from Science, is to use what it teaches to deal with the aspects of the particular box that is uppermost in mind at the moment! This is understandable.
But the first glimpse of primitive apprehension is not a staying point. The boxes of health, supply, relationships, etc. are all incidental to and contained in Pandora’s giant box within which the whole dream-story of material existence is enacted. Like the child, to whose innocence and simplicity the emperor had no clothes despite much vaunting, so we start out in Science with what is actually being. This enables us to say, But Life is not like that. Life is spelt with a capital “L” and means God. It is infinite and has never been in a box of any kind. My Life is not circumscribed, nor is it conditioned by material circumstance. It is not a matter of saying ‘my life could have been different if…’ or, ‘will be different now with Science’. It is different to what Pandora says and the box has never been.
The box of self-constituted falsity that has never had any identity, never had a location, was never substance, and includes neither past or future. The belief that existence or any part of it was ever in a box, and the believer in this belief, are myths. “The fundamental error lies in the supposition that man is a material outgrowth and that his cognizance of good and evil, which he has through the bodily senses, constitutes his happiness or misery” (S&H 171:31-2). This error claims to be present as personal, localised belief, but in fact, like the Will o’ the Wisp, is never where you think it is and could never be part of the experience of universal Mind, the one I or Ego.

It is fundamental that we understand that man is simply the name that God gives to that which manifests and so gives identity to Himself. There is no capacity in man, which MBE refers to in the First Edition of Science and Health as “lifeless image”—but this is because your only capacity is God, your Mind, and you live as this Mind, as infinite Love in self-experience. Thus you live as the experience of all good, but not the experiencer. God experiences His image, man.
“The humble servant of the restful Mind” (S&H 119:31-32) means just this: man is simply the name for that which God, Mind, is being, and you rest in Mind’s infinity, in the knowledge that your whole living is just the experience of divine Life itself, innately wonderful and exempt from all evil.

The Lesson talks of the caged lion. This in only harmful if we get into the cage. Don’t get into the cage of embodied thought and think that is where and how you live. You co-exist with God: you don’t share a cage with a lion. So, you don’t get bitten!
The new Life is infinite Life—Life through all space, Life as omnipresence, omniscience, and omnipotence, and not as an isolated, solitary idea with the world revolving round a false sense of ego. It is a new Life to which none of the former things apply.
All treatment is from the standpoint of “before Abraham was I AM” (John 8:58). Never come down to changing stones into bread. Enjoy the bread of Life instead of stones! What is called healing is the disappearance of mist in the conscious presence of operating Principle. You are the operation of Principle to all unlike yourself.
I will write on other matters separately, but meanwhile just let us go on enjoying this sense of flawless being that is already exempt from all evil. Personal sense does not grasp this: it fades before it.
Th February
A quick line before leaving. In this Lesson (Isa. 44:6, 22, 23) we see that which returns to the Lord, spiritual sense, is that which never left it. There is no record of a trial, a departure from Principle, a mortal opinion, or any earthborn taint in divine Mind.
Being is exempt from all evil. Jesus did not teach a kingdom not of this world that would do something to the kingdom of this world. He saw the truth in place of the error. That correct (not corrected) view healed the sick. It is a false sense, and not what a false sense sees, that is to be effaced.
There is no matter, so no physique. What you call a solid material body is no more so than the body you embrace in a dream, which seems real to the dreamer, but is never other than a phase of thought. Mind constitutes its own body with God’s thoughts about God, and that is the stuff you are made of and that constitutes, preserves, and perpetuates your Life.

If Love (the underived) alone is Life, then this word ‘underived’ needs studying. Every mortal belief stems from derivation, for the belief that there is something outside all-inclusive divinity carries with it the belief that our experience is derived from and so deprived by external circumstances. This is not so.
There is no market downturn; no economic recession; no dearth of anything. There is only the belief that something could be derived from elsewhere than God, good, the all-inclusive divinity that you are. There is likewise no incompleteness: only the belief that completeness, as a quality of God, is derived from elsewhere than God. This is why there is nothing to the mortal but swaddling clothes, and why, too, the statement on page 475:19 (only) is so important. “That which”—not ‘he who’—has no other mind” means that the Mind you do have is God and nothing less. This is your capacity to know, and so you are free of the swaddling of ignorance.
Life from the perspective of a mortal bit of existence is always mean and swaddled. Life seen from and as the heart of divinity is Life itself. To find this Life in all its completeness we do not start from the mortal picture, nor from effect, man, but from God.
These statements emphasise this whole new approach. Peo. 14:11; Un. 6:4-6; S&H 390:7-9; 258:16-18; 576:31-4; 13:25-29; 1 John 4:17.

There is just one Life and that is what the divine Mind, your Mind, the infinite Mind that knows no otherness, is knowing about itself. See S&H 91:5. There is no other life. Mind’s consciousness of itself, My awareness of Myself, is All.

I have so enjoyed 2 Tim. 2:19. The foundation of everything in your experience is sure because it consists of the Lord knowing them that are His, Mind knowing its own ideas constituting all you are. It is safe because it is sealed with “…the impress of heaven…” (S&H 511:12) and so cannot be broken or invaded by the pageant of mortal mind.
In this true being wherein you are the experience of all that the divine Life is showing forth, there is no unsupported idea, nothing in an orbit of its own, nothing less than the complete, whole, and satisfied expression of Life living itself as you. ‘“knowledge of aught beside Myself is impossible” (Un. 18:25-26) says the I of your being.
Mis. 104:14-21 is helpful.

The verse I mentioned is 2 Tim. 2:19. The foundation of God is the fact that all that really exists is Mind and its idea. This is the sealed up totality of good, which is infinite, and consists of “Principle and its idea…” (S&H 465:17) co-existent, constituting the Life that is divine. Nothing can enter into it, or escape from it.
This is your foundation. The first definition of God (which means Principle and idea) is incorporeal. You are incorporeal: that is, you have no physical body but live as the em-bodi-ment of divinity. This is the Life where there is no temple, no physical structure.

At the end of his career we read that Jesus said “…It is finished…” (John 19:30) and he gave up the ghost. In his three years of ministry, he had proved across the whole spectrum of human experience that there is no life, truth, intelligence or substance in matter. He had overcome these phases of mortality in every disguise and his work was finished. He had given up the belief in the ghost of materiality, the spectral belief that there was any life or intelligence separate from God. (Pages 352 and 353 elaborate)
Th April 1986
You do not have a faculty or capacity with which to take in the pictures of mortal mind. Man has a sensationless body. Man is sensationless body, for man is the sensation, the awareness, the feeling of Soul, not sense. Mind never knew a person either alive or dead in matter, for Life is the everlasting I AM and nothing else. So I AM everlasting Life, and in Me is no death, no mortality, no so-called life in matter. Then you will be unimpressed that man is dead in matter. Don’t kill your sense of man by holding him as mortal—which means dead!
Th May 1986
Your concern is not to hang on to and protect a material sense of body but to see that it cannot hang on to you! Your Life, being God, has never lived in or been conditioned by any material experience.
Th June 1986
It was wonderful seeing you both. I like S&H 247:1-2. “The acute belief of physical life comes on at a remote period, and is not so disastrous as the chronic belief.” The acute phase of mortal life is the grave: life as a mortal, however, is chronic death. You are not involved in either.
Th September 1987
Many thanks for your letter. While we maintain a certain flippancy do not think I do not well understand the situation. But it does not make it a fact.
The enclosed notes may be of interest. If we do not accept entering the mortal we do not worry about leaving where we’ve never been.
Psalm 81:6 “I removed his shoulder from the burden…”. There is One heart for the universe. No private heart. That is just the lie about heart.
S&H 385:17-18. “Whatever it is your duty to do, you can do without harm to yourself” is interesting if compared with 340:4-12. “This text in the book of Ecclesiastes conveys the Christian Science thought, especially when the word duty, which is not in the original, is omitted: ‘Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep His commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.’ In other words: Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: love God and keep His commandments: for this is the whole of man in His image and likeness.” There is only one duty and God carries out His purpose. There are no human demands, so no effect from meeting them. The tenderness of the Christ does not allow you one iota of life or strength of your own.
Neh. 6:11. “And I said, Should such a man as I flee? and who is there, that, being as I am, would go into the temple to save his life? I will not go in.” I will not go into the temple. That is like Mrs. Eddy saying to Joseph Mann, ‘Go not back into the house’.
Th September 1987
With deep respect, I have to tell you that all you can ever suffer from is ‘vapour’ as you will see from 480:29-32: “If sin, sickness and death were understood as nothingness, they would disappear. As vapor melts before the sun, so evil would vanish before the reality of good.” The margin note is “Vapor and nothingness”.
People get fussed about ‘passing on’ and this is instead of seeing that the moment they depart from a false material sense to the true spiritual sense of being, they are the departed, and have passed out of death and are alive forevermore.
Page 84:19-2 shows clearly there are no persons, so no spiritualism, so no denial of Science. Do you have a body? If so it will have you on! You live as the body of God. 10th Edition: “Mind has its body with it and it is always subject to what Mind says about it.” This is your Mind and you live as this body, the body or em-bodi-ment of God.
S&H 84:19-27. “To understand that Mind is infinite, not bounded by corporeality, not dependent upon the ear and eye for sound or sight nor upon muscles and bones for locomotion, is a step towards the Mind-science by which we discern man’s nature and existence. This true conception of being destroys the belief of spiritualism at its very inception, for without the concession of material personalities called spirits, spiritualism has no basis upon which to build.”
Th April 1990
S&H 136:32-7. “Jesus patiently persisted in teaching and demonstrating the truth of being. His students saw this power of Truth heal the sick, cast out evil, raise the dead; but the ultimate of this wonderful work was not spiritually discerned, even by them, until after the crucifixion, when their immaculate Teacher stood before them, the victor over sickness, sin, disease, death, and the grave.” Jesus taught the truth of being, the disciples did not see the truth; only what it appeared to do at their level. We are here “As the individual ideal [of] Truth…” (S&H 30:19) and not as person, to raise the dead: to lift everything out of the level of mortality to the conscious everpresence of all good.
To think one may have forgotten something in the past is not the answer. Mind knows: it cannot forget. In the passage at S&H 87:19-25, “The mine knows naught of the emeralds within its rocks; the sea is ignorant of the gems within its caverns, of the corals, of its sharp reefs, of the tall ships that float on its bosom, or of the bodies which lie buried in its sands: yet these are all there. Do not suppose that any mental concept is gone because you do not think of it.” The contents of the mine or the seabed remain, whether there is an awareness of them or not. The truth is that there is no mine and no seabed. In the all-constituting consciousness of Mind, there is nothing but the present loveliness of being, with nothing buried. All is raised.
You know that it is not coldness to say that that which has a sense of loss and that which is lost are two aspects of the dream. ‘That which heard the baby cry made the baby cry.’ Your Mind is incapable of knowing anything but Life.

That which finds itself free from one error only to be fettered by another is well defined on S&H 584:12. In your Christ consciousness, which descends from heaven as a Bride, there is no thought of death or mortality. I AM alive for evermore: Science has explained Me.
So these experiences are just gentle reminders that Life is God in every detail, and never descended to matter in any form.
I used to think that the third degree was where we start, but I now see that the fourth degree and the final prophecy of Science, is the heavenly city (consciousness) proceeding from the mouth of God,—the translation of Immortal Mind, which is God and His idea and nothing else.

“To this end was I born… that I should bear witness unto the truth” (John 18:37). This is your purpose, for the life of a student of CS is first and foremost metaphysical. We do not retain the physical basis and then apply Science to it. We are living minute by minute from a different standpoint outside the dream. There is no personal plan of a personal Jehovah, but incidental to your status as the consciousness, or Son, of God is all the good that humanly you hope for. It is when you blend your thoughts with God, that you do not produce a change in circumstances except incidentally, but you begin to see objects that before were invisible though always there.
What appears as an individual coming face to face with things that do not belong to the divine experience is never ‘I’, but always the human mind recognising the unloveliness of its pretence to existence and giving itself up in the presence of what you already are. This is why I love Mis. 209:32. You are always identified with Love and are never what is being given up. This is why Love is the fulfilling of the law, for it leaves nothing to suffer under human law.

If it is not an intrusion, may I just say that I am sure the answer to the particular situation you mentioned is understanding that you include your womanhood. In Hea. 10:5 we read that “…the beast bowed before the Lamb: it was supposed to have fought the manhood of God… but it fell before the womanhood of God, that presented the highest ideal of Love”. We know that the Lamb stood in part for “the spiritual idea of Love … innocence and purity” (S&H 590:9) and it is because divine Love is totally innocent of belief in evil that it knows no contests. This is the Gabriel of His presence, for the beast cannot fight that which does not know or believe it or that which has not even a memory of it. See Mis. 209: 32-3.

Written to a young boy.
Hymn 182 says:
Make channels for the streams of Love,
Where they may broadly run:
And Love has overflowing streams,
To fill them every one.
The point is that Love, God, always pours out all the good that can possibly be. We make channels for this good by getting ourselves out of the way so that only the thoughts of God, good, make up our thinking and impel our actions. Then we find that we are not just a little bit of life getting on as best as we can by itself, but instead find our unity with the source of all Life. We should therefore find ourselves allied to the power and presence of God, and living at a level where all things are working together for good instead of things working in disconnected bits.
Th September
What a Lesson on substance! God’s thought about something is the substance of that thing. That is why I AM the substance of all. The human perception, being objective, is that which actually hides that thing. We do not go after it. The whole mission of Love is to deny the experience of the second best. See S&H 349:31 Only ‘the opponents of CS’ believe substance to be material, and you are surely not an opponent! S&H 516:4-8 is the fact. From the standpoint of what is we subordinate the false sense or mental impression of what is not. The sense testimony is never a conscious, living presence, but a mental suggestion that cannot enter your Mind. You operate from the standpoint of your actual wholeness.
Barn House, 11th December
In writing of the “great heart of Love” (S&H 448:4), there could of course have been no thought in MBE’s mind of any resemblance to a human heart—an organ so well described in the Glossary of S&H. When we speak of ‘the heart of the matter’ we mean the central core, the essence, the nature of something. The great heart of Love is the feeling of harmony, joy, dominion, freedom, safety, and bliss, that emanates from the centre of being, divine Love. It is Love’s own standpoint from which only loveliness can be felt and seen. It is what MBE refers to as “the heart of divinity” (S&H 258:31) from which exalted standpoint we see and experience only that which Love itself is knowing.
I like to think of Love as taking thought where it finds it and lifting it higher, and also as the aspect of Deity that brings everything to light in its true depict. Love sees its ideal, and as a sort of sculptor removes from that ideal everything that would hide, limit, or distort it.
You live as the functioning presence of Love. You are Love in operation wherever you are. You are the loveliness of Love to your experience, be it called person, place or thing. There is nothing but Love to you, and to all you contact, to all you see, hear, know and experience. You live as “the living, palpitating presence of the Christ” (S&H 351:14), and so as the heartbeat of the universe.
Barn House, 24th October
Science does require 100% dropping off of old beliefs, and this means, dropping the belief that we are identified as a person in need, dropping the belief that we ever had a separate mind or life from God, dropping the belief that we were born into or lived in matter, and dropping the belief that we ever had anything to do with that anthropoid called a material person. What is there instead? Just the joy of living as Love-manifest, without a single bodily pleasure or pain, inseparable from the Mind and Life that are Love, invulnerable to any experience that does not emanate from the divine Mind, and totally safe in Truth.
“We must leave the mortal basis of belief and unite with the one Mind” (S&H 424:6-7). That is Life, and in that Life there has never been anything to put right. All seeing, hearing, moving, knowing take place in Mind, not image.
Th March
Mrs. Eddy once said, “Remember you are not the singer but the song”. Divine Love is the singer and your whole experience is the song of Love,—“the raptured song with Love perfumed” as the hymn says.
Everything—the sky, the stars, the landscape, the events of your experience—is part of the great cohesion of Being, with everything taking place as one indivisible whole of good. This is Love’s song and your Life, for “Love alone is Life” (Mis. 388:10).
Th November
It occurred to me to remind you of the definition of Love in Miscellaneous Writings as not only “the underived” but also “the incomparable” (Mis. 250:1). When we see there is only one man, there is no comparison, and there is therefore no question of keeping up appearances. This might be worth pursuing in thought.
Barn House, 19th January 1996
If we start with the fact that “His arm encircles me and mine and all” (Mis. 389:13) then there is nothing anywhere but this infinite Love, the underived. There is no place for old theological belief of ‘encircling gloom’—no sepulchre in which our Love and sense of Life can be buried, no shades of gloom. Depression is not a cause. Emotion has no place in Love. No dark valley, because no mortal sense or belief that Life was ever in finite form, or ‘good in evil’. The life, substance and continuity of all things remain in God.
MBE once said that she saw the love of God encircling the universe. This Love is the only Life and is pure light, and your vision cannot be darkened to this fact.
Recognise that this picture is not a condition, nor is it yours. It is supposition only, suggestion, and so not a cause and does not have an effect. That which never began in Mind has no course to run, no beliefs to be attached to it, no law to sustain it. It is nothing and always will be.
Th February
The “Adorable One”, which is the nature and status of all being, is Father-Mother-child (see Mis. 18:18-19): that is, it consists of and includes all the qualities of perfect cause and perfect effect. “…the doctrine of Christian Science: that divine Love cannot be deprived of its manifestation, or object…” (S&H 140:9-11). Cause and effect, Parent and child, Life and fulfillment, exist as one. God’s womanhood is never without fulfillment and satisfaction. This is your ‘child’. Love is never without its child, never deprived of its fulfillment.
Everything is thought. We live in a mental universe. What appears to us as external conditions is only some mental picture trying to masquerade as our thinking. But our consciousness is the divine Mind, the only Ego, and so all that can say I AM. The pictures of the world come to your Christ-selfhood to be healed, not admitted. They come to lay themselves down at your altar, and not to alarm you. It is because your womanhood is God’s and so is inviolate, fulfilled, safe, unwounded, that the world’s false sense has to fall away in your presence. It is what you are that takes care of what you are not.
There is no imbalance in your Life, be it called by any name. You cannot be toppled from your perch! You cannot lose consciousness. In the divine scales balance is never the human weighed against the divine, but the divine allness in the scale with the nothingness of anything else. You rest in the truth of being, knowing that God is your Life in every detail and that “…of His fullness have we all received…” (John 1:16).
Mind does not heal sickness. It is unconscious of it. So are you!
St April
Love never gives with one hand and takes with another. Good is indivisible, and is never in portions. The whole problem with the Prodigal was that he thought he was only entitled to a portion of inheritance, and this divided sense of being took him for a ride to a far country and spent itself because it has no truth or substance in it. John the Baptist’s thought was “He must increase but I must decrease’” (John 3:30) and he decreased so much that all that was left of him was a head on Herod’s dinner plate!
But man is ‘perfect as the Father’; abundant as the Father; active, safe, complete as the Father, because there is just one Life for Father and Son. Being is a shared experience. It is the cup that overfloweth, and whoever drinks of it—whoever sees his true identity—can never hunger or thirst.
We live “before Abraham was” (1 Cor. 13:7)—before there was ever a mortal, limited, depleted sense of life. I AM, and to this I AM there never was another life. The whole picture of mortal fragments of existence is the mirage; we do not tinker with it, but we act as one with the Father in the kingdom that is not of this world, and so is not subject to the restrictive laws of this world, be they medical, financial, social, or political. There is no frustration; no withholding.
You may care to look at S&H 242:9-14 and margin. We put all our weight into one scale. We also read that “…Principle, which is equal to every emergency…” (S&H 406:5)—that is, to all that emerges in your experience.
Every idea of God (abundance, safety, activity, etc.) is independent of human personalities and so is unlimited in its scope and action. It operates everywhere all the time. It does not depend on material circumstances. You live in a different dimension to the mortal. Every right idea that you entertain as consciousness is the divine Mind itself unfolding as your experience.
Principle is. It does not make decisions and choices. It is the law of unfoldment of all good everywhere all the time. Right is. To know this causes us to do the right thing in the right way at the right time. You can lose nothing, for you have nothing to lose. Man reflects all that God is being, but has nothing of his own separate from God. Turn all thought back to Principle, and not to what the senses are telling you.
Dorset
Thank you for your call. Thought is related to the Mind that thinks it. There is One Mind and so One Thinker. “God’s thoughts are perfect and eternal, are substance and Life” (S&H 286:21-22) and they are expressed as allness—nothing to increase or diminish. Man, as the consciousness of God, is correlated with God, and this means that you can only be conscious of the things of God—of the loveliness of Love, the affluence of Truth, the infinite resources of Soul, the rectitude of Principle.
The “…full compensation in the law of Love” (S&H 574:17-18), stems from the fact that Love is the ‘underived’, and so dependent on nothing outside of itself for its fullness, unchanging abundance, and glorious certainty of well-being.
Barn House, 23rd November 1997
Just a follow up. MBE speaks of “…Father, Mother and child are the divine Principle and divine idea, even the divine ‘US’…” (Mis. 18:18-19). This refers to the oneness and allness of infinite Love and its infinite self-expression called man. It is Love that constitutes and maintains its expression.
No sense of strain or stress enters divine Love. “Love beareth all things.” “Spirit is all that endureth.” There is no responsibility on your shoulders. Psalm 81:6 says: “I have removed his shoulder from the burden”, not the other way round! Your enjoyable task is observing with and as the Mind that is Love the beauty of holiness, and not joining the passing procession of mortal mind.
