In this construction both Participle I and Participle II are used, e.g.

· I don’t want you giving this book back to me. (participle I)

· I don't like him taking all the credit when he didn't do any of the work.

· They didn’t like me leaving so early. (participle I)

· I want the work done at once. (participle II)

· The boss wants that letter typed today. (participle II)

 

TASK 11. Answer the questions below using the words suggested. Make all the necessary changes. Follow the example.

Example. How did you know I was making dinner? (to smell / to cook) - I smelt it being cooked.
