Brief description of discipline. The course is regarded as obligatory discipline of basic education.

The course was designed by author to the students of State and Local Management Specialty of finance and economic faculty.

Цель курса – обучение нацелено на обучение студентов чтению литературы по специальности на английском языке, а также на развитие навыков устной и письменной речи по направлению подготовки «Государственное и местное управление».

The purpose of the course - training aimed at teaching students to read literature on the specialty in English, as well as to develop the skills of speaking and writing in the direction of training "State and local government."

Поставленные цели будут решаться через выполнение следующих задач:

The objectives will be addressed through the following tasks:

Овладения различными видами чтения и навыками ведения научной дискуссии;

изучения основных категорий и понятий, необходимых при переводе статей, чтения научной литературы;

пополнения запаса экономической и общенаучной лексики, терминов и понятий специальности.

Mastery of different types of reading and skills of conducting scientific debate;

learning the basic categories and concepts needed in the translation of articles, read the scientific literature;

replenishment economic and general scientific vocabulary, terms and concepts specialty.

Студенты должны будут выработать следующие профессиональные компетенции:

- переводческую - научиться переводить оригинальные тексты по специальности;

- коммуникативную - приблизить речевые навыки к уровню спонтанной речи;

- языковую - понимать речь носителей языка при просмотре передач телеканалов CNN, Euronews, читать и использовать информацию в оригинале.

Students will have to develop the following professional competences:

- Translation - to learn to translate the original texts in the specialty;

- Communicative - bring language skills to the level of spontaneous speech;

- Language - we understand native speakers when watching television broadcasts CNN, Euronews, read and use the information in the original.
