Task 2 Read the text:

The Mechanical Faculty provides studies for next specialties:


– equipment of chemical productions and building materials enterprises, where students study device, work, assembling, exploitation and service, basics of projecting and constructing using CAD system for equipment of chemical and petrochemical industry, pharmaceutical and microbiological productions, of plastic and elastomeric materials processing into products production and production of complex equipment anticorrosive protection and rising of its reliability and durability;

– machine construction technology, where students can get basic knowledge about development of modern technologies of production and assembling of machines and apparatus, retooling of machine-building productions by modern metal-working engineering tools; become familiar with machine construction grounds, cutting theory and cutting tools, by computer-aided designs system. Employment for these two specialties: machine-building enterprises, assembling organizations, repair workshops of technological enterprises;

– automatic process control system, where students study the development order and adjustment of computer-integrated technological processes, adjustment of the automation systems based on modern microprocessor and computer equipment and organization of works on service, assembling, repair, adjusting of the automation systems, providing operative control of effective functioning of automated control systems. Employment: almost all industries of national economy with automatic and automated control system and computer-integrated technologies enterprises;

– metrology and measurement equipment, where students study the metrology providing of technological processes, electronics and micro circuitry, systems and methods of measuring equipment, informatively-measuring systems, standardization, certification and product quality management, rules, methods of production and control of product quality, providing the product quality, quality control, accident prevention, occupational health, ergonomics, technical aesthetics. Employment: electric and electronic equipment production, control and measuring apparatus, certification and standardization, sphere of informatization and ecological monitoring;

– heat and power engineering, where students study heat-technology of productions, their equipment, thermal and electric energy consumption systems, introduction of the energy effective and ecologically mature systems in area of development, assembling, adjusting, exploitation, repair, modernization of energy productive and energy consuming equipment and apparatus, distribution and use of power mediums. Employment: power complexes, communal and industrial energetic, oil and gas industry, chemical and metallurgical enterprises, machine construction enterprises, building materials productions.
