Interaction pattern: Pair work

Aim:

· develop sts’ speaking for fluency describing an invention

· give freer practice with passive voice in Present Simple Tense.

Procedure:

1. Look at the new inventions. What might they be used for?

3. All of you have been working in our company for many years. There is a place of Head Selling Manager. We’ve decided to make a competition for this place. Advertise one of these things or you may invent something else. Describe how it looks, functions. Why we need it. Be persuasive. The most persuasive and creative person will get this place.

4. The listeners are the potential buyers but you can buy only one of the suggested items. During the presentations fill in the tables and make your choice.

5. Now you have discovered that each item costs more than you can afford, so you can buy only one thing for two of you. Talk it over and choose your purchase. If you liked different things, try to persuade your partner to buy what you want.
