PIKOM PC FAIR

PIKOM PC Fair is organized by PIKOM, or the Association of the Computer and Multimedia Industry of Malaysia. The first PIKOM PC Fair was held in 1995, at the Stadium Negara in Kuala Lumpur where it received more than 25 000 visitors. Today, PIKOM PC Fair has grown from once a year at one location to a three times a year at more than 25 locations in Malaysia. The fair attracts as many as 1.3 million visitors per year and is recognized by the Malaysia Book of Records as the Largest ICT Fair in Malaysia.

Computer

Computer is a programmable machine that receives input, stores and manipulates data/information, and provides output in a useful format. Nowadays, computers do not just be limited to desktop PCs but they are more in the form of laptop, smartphones, netbooks, tablet, etc.

Hardware

The mechanical, magnetic, electronic, and electrical components making up a computer system. They are the parts that would power and run the software of the computer. The more powerful the hardware, the better it is.

Software

It is the collection of computer programs and related data that provide the instructions telling a computer what to do. The term was coined to contrast to the old term hardware (meaning physical devices). In contrast to hardware, software is intangible, meaning it "cannot be touched". Software is also sometimes used in a more narrow sense, meaning application software only.
