1.Ученые из астрономического проекта SDSS опубликовали самое детальное на данный момент фото Вселенной с разрешением в триллион пикселей. На сбор информации для составления этой карты ушло более 10 лет.

2. Астрономы смогли составить карту неба площадью около 15 тысяч квадратных градусов при общей площади небесной сферы в 41 253 квадратных градуса. Разрешение полученного изображения составляет более терапикселя, или свыше триллиона пикселей.

Road cash streets ahead of rail

1.Investment in roads has soared in the past six years while resources for rail have scarcely changed, undermining ministers’ claims to be helping people to switch from cars to trains. In the past century, “SOS” has become a firm part of popular culture used in everything from DIY programme titles to Abba hits.
