2. In the window to define a new connection (New Connection):

- you must enter the number of other side of connection (other workstations where you install an ISDN adapter);

-Enter a user name other side (RVS-Host (ISDN);

-click Next.

3. in the window Connect to to determine (see Figure 16):

- your user name (student) of the other side;

-your password (student);

-phone connected to your side;

-simulated Protocol for data transmission via ISDN (Devise: ISDN PPP, for example);

-the location from which they are dialing (Location);

-apply;

-Connect.

4. In case of successful connection start to transfer files. There are two main working windows. The first is the source and destination of files which are transferred from your computer (for example, send files from folder incoming on drive c). Second is window of state of file transmission of other side, with the corresponding name as the name of the other side (RVS-Host (ISDN). From the window Incoming files are selected and transferred to other file transfer state window, i.e. the transmission starts.

5. On the other side, there is the same system of windows, and transmitted file is displayed in the Incoming on computer of second user. File transfer is accompanied by the reports of transmission bitrate and various service messages.

4.3 Draw a frame format LAPD.

4.4 Write answers on test questions.

5. LABORATORY TASK

5. 1To set up the program-emulated answerphone.

5.2Write a new message with length 25seconds and activate the answerphone in 5 seconds after calling.

5.3 To call, and verify that your answerphone works correctly.

5.4.To set up the program-emulated fax to transmit messages.

5.5To create a short message and include in print the cover page of "normal" size. Perform faxing, and its reception on another computer.

5.6 Configure the connection for data transmission by ISDN.

5.7 Prepare 3 files of different type and size.
