A brain ring for the pupils of the third form based on lexical and grammar material of the book "Let's Learn English, 2" by Don Dallas, Linda Pelham.
Objectives: to practice vocabulary and grammar structures, to develop the language skills, to encourage students to learn English.
Equipment: a tape-recorder, handouts.

Teacher. We have an interesting game. Two teams will compete.
The first team is "A Rainbow".
The second team is "A Star".
The jury is responsible to count the results and say which team is the best.
Every round has its points. For every answer you'll get a point or some points.
1. Greeting
The captains introduce their teams. Each team sings a song. 1

2. Captains' competition. The captains introduce themselves.
My name is... I'm 8. I live in Zolotonosha.
I study at the gymnasia. I study English, Math and Ukrainian. I can read, write and draw. I'm helpful, polite, hardworking. But sometimes I'm naughty. I like helping my mother. I water the plants, sweep the floor and wash the dishes, make my bed, feed the cat. I like riding a bike, play football and walk.

Every team has got a set of expressions but they are in jumbled order.

While teams are doing the task the fans guess the riddles and sing a song "Head and shoulders."
