IMPORTANT INFORMATION

European Continental Children, Cadets and Juniors Sumo Championships 2014

· Juniors under 18 years (MU18/WU18) September, 21
OBJECTIVE:
To develop Sumo within Europe and exchange social and cultural ties among participating countries.

REGISTRATION
Registration of athletes, Registration requirements for the tournament:
a. The attached competition application forms are to be filled in with capital letters and to be sent to the address e-mail or post of the Organizer and Sport Director. Entries will only be accepted on official entry forms. Uncompleted forms will not be accepted.
b. Please, send one passport style photo of each delegation member in jpg format to the following address: efspresident@yahoo.com & riho.rannikmaa@eestisumo.ee & sumobelarus@gmail.com
Each photograph must be named following this mode: First Name-FAMILY NAME. JPG. These photos are for accreditation purposes and people arriving who have not sent their photo beforehand will have to be personally present with their passport to receive an accreditation card.
c. The registration open from September 1 to September 12, 2014. The initial application deadline is September 12, 2014 here you must send an intention that your federation wishes to compete. The final application deadline for athlete participation is September 12, 2014. All countries must register for all athletes, officials to the European Continental Sumo Championships 2014 by the above mentioned application date.
d. Place of registration, accreditation, Draw, Weigh-in:
Sport Hall “OLIMP”str. Kachana, 35, Lida
For the accreditation, only the delegation leader is requested to be present (registration point „b”),
e. All entries will only be accepted on the official entry forms of Organizer. (There will be no exceptions) and must arrive by the official closing dates.
f. At the official control of nations the names submitted are final and all fees paid at this time are not refundable whatsoever. If your delegation leader is not available to attend at this date and time then the last athlete change will be accepted by e-mail until September 12, 2014 to the office of the Organizer. Registration for the Open category has to be before September 20, 2014 at the registration desk.

BOARD & LODGING COSTS
The organiser provides of accommodation as follows:

· Double rooms 40 € for one persons (Breakfast is not included);
· The organizing committee will organize transportation of delegations participation in competitions from places of arrival to places of registration, accommodation and competitions and back.
TRAVEL EXPENSES
Each individual Federation is responsible for the all travel costs incurred int he transportation. Enter in Ukraine without visas for citizens of all European countries. Lida is located in the of Belarus At 180 km from international airport Minsk. The organizer will provide transportation from the airport Minsk to the place of registration in Lida. Also from the railway station.
COMPETITION RULES
1. The competition will be carried out according to the IFS requlations together with application of the double repechage system. If there are 5 or less athletes in a weight group a pool system may be used.
2. All male athletes U16 and U18 will wrestle in MAWASHI ONLY! This includes the prize awarding ceremonies. Except for the – U12 years and 14 years age group.
3. All female athletes must wrestle in a one-piece wresling leotard plus Mawashi. Women may not compete, wearing T-shirts.
4. All mawashi must conform to international regulations, if not, it is possible that the mawashi will be invalid for the tournament and another mawashi may have to be used by the wrestler, at the discretion of the refereeing director a suitable substitute mawashi cannot be found and used within a reasonable amount of time the athlete may have to forfeit the match. Also all mawashi must be dry and not wet and made of recognised fabric.

GIRLS (born 2001-2003 years) WU12:

GIRLS (born 1999-2001 years): WU14:

BOYS (born 1999-2001 years) MU14:

GIRLS (born 1997-1999 years) WU16:

FINANCIAL REQUIREMENT
Entry fee
will be charged for all athletes mentioned in the official entry form!
For all participant 10 EUR per wrestler in each weight category;
Team tournament
50 EUR per teams U16; U18;
All fees are paid to Organizer at registration and accreditation upon arrival and are nonrefundable.
ATTENTION ALL: Accommodation must be made only through the Organizer
Health Insurance and Anti-Doping
Each federation is obliged to insure all athletes and officials against sickness, injury or death. (All athletes and officials need to have insurance and present at the registration. In case somebody does not have insurance, the insurance will be able to bought at the accreditation). Neither the organising country nor the European Sumo Federation will be responsible for any sickness, injury or death of any athlete or official incurred before, during and after the ESC 2013. All athletes will have to sign an injury disclaimer plus a disclaimer that they have not taken any forbidden substances.
