- You are a journalist of a popular magazine. Your chef-editor asked you and your partner to make up a questionnaire “What kind of a person are you?”. Discuss with your partner the relevance of questionnaires in getting to know the true personality.
- You are an expert in advertizing marketing. You are preparing a project about the current masculine and feminine in mass-media. Share your ideas about the male and female role models in advertisements.
- Your friend is a future psychologist. At the moment he/she is writing their course paper about script analysis. It is an interesting topic for you. You meet your friend to discuss the validity of script analysis and its role in finding out personality.
- You are a member of a psychological school. You had an interesting lecture on face reading held by the famous professor. You come home and your parents/siblings/friends want you to share the information.
- You are a writer. You like travelling and got to know a lot of interesting information about different beliefs and stereotypes. You wrote a book about it and today you present it to the readers. Tell them about the different stereotypes and whether they are underpinned by the real facts.
- You are a general manager of a big company. For your company to be successful you need the appropriate stuff. You need to substitute some of the personnel. Tell your assistants what kind of people with what characteristics you need and which positions they will occupy.
- According to the statement of the prominent artist Degas “art is a visual creation expressing the artist’s world”. Do you agree that art should be “visual only”? What about music then?
- Do you consider yourself to be a person having “a sense of colour”? Prove your idea analyzing the palette/colour-scheme of a renowned painting/painter.

This phrase is severely chastised by the art lovers. You are to underpin their point of view or propose your own at the Art Discussion meeting.
- You are the guide/curator in one of the world museums. You show the group one of your favourite masterpieces. Tell what it is, what you know about it and the painter’s life.
- Your foreign friends came to Ukraine and want to visit some museums. Tell them about Ukrainian art traditions and painters. Recommend them the museums/galleries/temples to go to.
- Your parents don’t know what the modern art is. Tell them about the nowadays tendencies in art. How the new art differs from the traditional one. Which one do you prefer?
- You saw a documentary about the future climatic situation on the Earth. You want to share the information and express your opinion in the discussion with the friend who didn’t see this documentary.
- You are one of the “green” party. A lot of water, energy, food is wasted in vain as people don’t think about it. You want people to be more accurate. So, you hold the lectures and discussions in different towns. What do you say?
- You are an Eskimo who supports the living only with the help of whaling. A group of people comes to your village and wants to convince you to cease killing whales. Explain the situation to them. Will you agree to change your traditional style of life?
- You are an ecologist trying to prevent the global warming. You have a special project and are ready to present it at the international conference. What is in your list?
- A lot of rare animals and plants are disappearing every day. You want to protect the environment, but you don’t have enough money. You found a group of rich people who can patronize you. Convince them that this money will help you to solve the problem.
- Human life is tightly connected with the life of the planet. Healthy people – healthy ecosystem. Tell your younger brother or sister/your child how to be healthy: what to eat, what to avoid, how to lead the healthy life.
- You are the teacher of the literature. According to the programme you have read the book (your home reading book). Some students liked it, some – didn’t. Try to sum up all the strong and weak points of the book and show the students the real historical value of the opus.
