My Native Village

Every man has his own Motherland. It’s the place, where a man was born. Maybe this place is usual and uninteresting for other people, but for you it is the dearest place in the world. One of such places is my native district.

I live in the district of Kugarchy. It is situated in the southern part of the Republic of Bashkortostan, on the left bank of the Belaya River. The territory of the district borders with the region of Orenburg and district of Kuyurgaza in the west, with Meleuz region – in the North, with districts of Burzyan and Zilair – in the east and with the district of Zianchura – in the south of the Republic. The date of foundation of our district is 20 August 1930. The territory of the district is 3371 sq. km.

The land of Kugarchy is a Motherland of a national poet Zainab Biisheva, an outstanding statesman Shagit Khudaiberdin and the first President of the Republic of Bashkortostan Murtaza Gubaidullovich Rakhimov.

The centre of the district of Kugarchy is Mrakovo. Its population is about 9000 people. It is a large village with many houses and buildings. There are three schools in our village. I learn in Bashkir gymnasium. Near our school there is a sport centre with a large gym and a swimming pool, a big stadium where we have Physical Education lessons.

There are several sights in our village: the monument to Lenin, the monument to Afghans, the Alley of Glory, Michael the Archangel Church. Besides, there are many shops, a museum, a big Palace of Culture and the academy of music in the centre of our village.

The people of my village are very hospitable, they are always glad to meet the guests. I love my home village.
