GRAMMAR SECTION

Past Simple Tense. Простое прошедшее время.

Past Simple используется для обозначения действия или действий, произошедших или регулярно происходящих в прошлом.

В простом прошедшем времени правильные глаголы (regular verbs) прибавляют окончание – ed. Неправильные глаголы (irregular verbs) образуют прошедшую форму – см. табл. (go – went; leave – left etc.).

Для образования вопросительной и отрицательной формы используется вспомогательный глагол «did» и «did not» соответственно для всех лиц и чисел, а основной смысловой глагол не меняется.

Positive

I/he/she/it/you/we/they finished work.

I/he/she/it/you/we/they left Moscow.

Negative

I/he/she/it/you/we/they did not (didn’t) finish work.

I/he/she/it/you/we/they did not (didn’t) leave Moscow.

Question

Did I/he/she/it/you/we/they finish work?

Орфография – Spelling

• Глаголы, заканчивающиеся на «е» прибавляют только «d».:

• В глаголах, заканчивающиеся на «y», «y» меняется на «i»:
