Dear Sir,

I am writing to complain about your restaurant which I visited on May 6th. I was not at all satisfied with the service or the food.

Firstly, the service was very slow. We had to wait half an hour to be seated although we had booked a table a week in advance.

Moreover, the food was badly cooked as our steak was tough and the chips were greasy.

To make matters worse, the waiter was rude. He spilt coffee on my wife’s dress and didn’t even apologise.

I trust that you will give this matter serious consideration and that this won’t be repeated.

I am writing to express my strong dissatisfaction with the new cooker which was delivered to my home last week.

When I tried to use it for the first time, I soon found out that the rings did not work properly. It took half an hour to boil a small pan of water!

What is more, the clock is slow and so is the timer. Yesterday, I put a cake into the oven to bake and set the timer. The timer went off fifteen minutes later than it was supposed to and the cake was completely burnt!

You ordered a shirt and a pair of trousers from a catalogue. When your order arrived, you realized that the shirt had no buttons, and when you tried on the trousers, the zipbroke. Write a letter of complaint, stating that you are returning the clothing and asking for a full refund.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to complain about two items of clothing which I bought from your catalogue on 15th January. I am unhappy with the quality of these items and I am returning them.

Firstly, the shirt which I ordered does not have any buttons on it at all. Therefore, I cannot fasten it.

Secondly, the zip on the trousers broke the first time I tried them on, and so I cannot wear them either.

I find this totally unacceptable and I am very disappointed with both items. I would like a full refund of the purchase price as well as the cost of returning the goods to you.

I am writing to express my complete dissatisfaction with the gift I recently ordered from your company.

Firstly, the figure was damaged and had a crack in it. What is more, the message engraved on the figure was not the one I had chosen. Therefore, it was totally unsuitable to give as a gift.

To make matters worse, the item was delivered three weeks after the date I had placed the order and not within ten days as advertised. As a result, it arrived long after the occasion for which I purchased it.
