Exercise 12. Using the words in parentheses, complete the text below with the appropriate tenses (Indefinite Present or Indefinite Future):

Exercise 13. Fill in when or if:

Example: If volume deposits don’t satisfy our objectives, I won’t accept this proposal.

1. I’m sorry you’ve decided to go away. I’ll be very sad … you leave our company. 2. Top manager might call this evening to report about last purchases … he does, can you take a message? 3. I think he’ll get the job. I’ll be very surprised … he doesn’t get it. 4. I hope to be there by 10:30. But … I’m not there, don’t wait for me. 5. Exercise 14. Make one sentence from two sentences:

Example: We will start our marketing research soon. You must present new promotional strategy before that.

1. I’ll take delivery. Then I’ll check storing, standardizing and grading. (when) 2. Volume discounts will increase. Let’s invest into this product before that. (before) 3.They will discuss the company merger. Then we shall incur inventory costs. (after) 4. Manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers will perform physical distribution functions. They must give us full written report then. (when) 5. I’ll finish checking these documents. Then I’ll get the list of recommendations ready. (when) 6. We’ll make our decision. Then we’ll let you know. (as soon as) 7. Our organization will focus on discovering consumer needs. Then we’ll adopt managerial approach to fill these needs. (when) 8. Marketers will deal with uncertainties about future consumer behavior. They must be entrepreneurial risk takers in many instances. (as long as)

 

Exercise 15. Complete the sentences by putting when, before, after, as soon as, or until into the gaps. Sometimes more than one answer is possible:

eg: I’ll stay in this job until I find a better one.

1. I’m going to keep working... I finish this. 2. Remember to provide market information … you’re in the company. 3. … I speak to him on the phone tonight, I’ll ask him to check the list according to the description of goods. 4. Put in your application … the closing date arrives. 12. You shouldn’t wait. You should reply …you receive the invitation.

 

Exercise 16. Use the words in brackets in the Future Indefinite and the Present Indefinite:

eg: (Tom/help/us/in our research/when/he/occupy/this position) – Tom will help us in our research when he occupies this position.

Exercise 17. Open the brackets and put the words in the Present Indefinite Tense or the Future Indefinite Tense:

Exercise 18. Translate into English:

1. Оптові торговці погодяться на наші умови після того, як ми дещо знизимо ціну. 2. Давайте змінимо деякі пункти угоди якщо ми хочемо досягти гарних результатів. 3. Маркетологи нашої компанії будуть збирати інформацію про цільовий ринок. 4. Впровадження такого дорогого продукту вплине на рекламний та маркетинговий бюджет компанії. 5.Ми отримаємо великий прибуток, якщо будемо застосовувати нові технології. 6. Вони будуть стимулювати створення нових товарів, поки результати ринкових досліджень не покажуть зростання попиту. 7. Наші працівники проінформують вас про умови доставки та зберігання, як тільки отримають замовлення. 8. Наша фірма залучить великий комплекс маркетингової діяльності. 9.
