Exercise 1. Write questions with what.

I've got a new TV set. I want a job. I've got a new sweater. I got up early this morning. I like music. I want to buy a car.

Exercise 2. Put in what/which/who.

Exercise 3. Complete the questions with How + adjective or adverb (high/long etc.).

Exercise 4. Write questions with How...?

1. Are you 1 metre 70? 1.75? 1.80? How tall are you?

5. Do you watch TV every day? Once a week? Never?

6. Is it 1000 miles from Paris to Moscow? 1500? 2000?

Exercise 5. Ask Jane questions. (Look at her answers before you write the questions.)

Exercise 6. Make questions with who or what.

Somebody hit me. I hit somebody. Somebody gave me the key. Something happened. Diane told me something. This book belongs to somebody. Somebody lives in that house. I fell over something. Something fell on the floor. This word means something. I borrowed the money from somebody. I'm worried about something.

Exercise 7. Put the words in brackets in the correct order. All the sentences are questions.

Exercise 8. Write negative questions from the words in brackets. In each situation you are surprised.
