The TC will be held in Krusevac (Kruљevac, Cyrillic Крушевац). Krusevac is a city and the administrative center of the Rasina District. It is situated in the central part of Serbia. It is located 197 km south from Belgrade and 74 km north from Nis (Niљ).
According to the 2011 census, the administrative area has a population of 127,429, while the town has 73,479. It was founded in 1371 by Prince Lazar of Serbia, who used it as his seat.
Krusevac has a very rich past. Archeological park “Lazar’s town” and Lazarica church stand out among many other archeological remains. “Slobodiste” memorial park, dedicated to the World War II victims is also considered an important historical site.

Accommodation |
We will be accommodated in hotel `Dabi` in Krusevac (http://konacistedabi.com/).
The Hotel is located 1, 5 km from the town centre, in a quiet, residential part of Krusevac in the vicinity of Sports Centre (swimming pool, basketball and tennis courts), only 10 minutes by foot from all attractions in the town. The hotel has been founded in 2007. It has 2 apartments, 16 single bed, 17 double bed and 10 triple bed rooms, cafй bar and restaurant, conference hall with 80 seats, dining hall with 220 seats, laundry and parking space.
! For your registration by the local authorities don`t forget to bring your passport with you!
! If you have specific requirements for food (if you don`t eat some kind of food/vegetarian/vegan etc.) please let us know as soon as possible.
Money Issues |
The domestic currency is RSD (dinar).
Dinar is one and only legal and valid currency in Serbia, so you must exchange your currency to dinar!
Best way to get Dinars is to exchange you currency upon arrival to Serbia. Exchange Offices in Serbia are literally on every corner, so they are easy to find. You can also exchange your money in any bank, but banks usually have lower course than Exchange offices).
*Dinar versus Euro rate fluctuates a bit, but for 1 EUR you will approximately get 115 RSD.
*Exchange offices and banks will not exchange cents or other foreign metal money (coins).
How to reach Krusevac? |
1) If you are coming by plane you are most likely arriving to Belgrade Airport (airport `Nikola Tesla`, www.beg.aero) or Nis (airport `Constantine the Great`, www.nis-airport.com).
In each case you will need to get to the Main Bus station (Glavna autobuska stanica) and take a bus to Krusevac from there. There are no direct lines from either Belgrade or Nis Airport to Krusevac.

! Public transport is the cheapest (1-3 EUR), but it is occasionally irregular. If you would like to use a registered taxi service, please contact the staff at the information counter and they will call the taxi for you (taxi service should not be more than 15 EUR, and some offer fixed rate).
2) If you are coming by bus you can arrive in Belgrade or Nis. You will arrive to the Main Bus station, and you can buy a ticket to Krusevac from there.

3) Upon arriving to Krusevac, we recommend taking a Taxi to get to the hotel. Taxi station is nearby, and the service is affordable and costs approximately around 3 EUR.
Participant fee and travel costs |
There is not fee for this TC.
We will reimburse 70% of the travel costs as listed below on the basis of the cheapest possibilities (e.g. second class railway tickets, low-cost flights…) by bank transfer after the training and receipt of all ORIGINAL/SCANNED tickets, bills, invoices, receipts, boarding tags/cards etc. Missing tickets will not be reimbursed.
Following the guide lines of the YiA Programme the travel back must be realized by the participants on direct way within maximum 2 days. In case of longer stays or indirect travelling (holiday etc.) there is no chance of reimbursement of travel costs.
Maximum travel costs for each participant is from home town to Krusevac and back:
