My Biography

My name is Berseneva Irina.I am Russian.I am twenty-one.

I was born in a small village Siamsha the Vologda region. Two years ago my family moved to Vologda.

My father is a car mechanic. My mother is working as a methodologist in the kindergarten. I have an older sister her name is Svetlana.

She is twenty-seven. After graduation, she began working as a marketer on Severstal. We are a very friendly family.

I am an office worker at a firm. As I am a Law student, I am going to work as a lawyer with this firm. I study at the Vologda International Law and Economics Institute after A.S.Griboyedov. I study by correspondence. When I was at school I wanted to be a lawyer. I liked History and was interested in how different countries were governed. So when I finished school I decided to take entrance examinations to the Law Institute. I passed the exams well and became a student in 2012. Now I am in my second year. My favourite subjects are Law, Criminal Law. I am fond of sports and spend a lot of time playing table tennis. I sometimes take part in competitions.

I married. My husband's name is Vladimir. He works in the investigation Committee.He works very much. We have a daughter. Her name is Alexandra and her three years.

We like to spend our time together.

My Family

Our family is not very large. I have a father, a mother and a sister. We all live together in a new flat in Vologda.

My father Dervyanco Nicolay is 53. He is a car mechanic. He likes his work very much and spends much time there. My father is a tall well-built man with dark hair and grey eyes. By character he is a quiet man of few words unlike my mother who is talkative and energetic.

My mother’s name is Tatyana. She is working as a methodologist in the kindergarten. She plays the piano very well so she sometimes takes part in different concerts. She is a busy woman, so we help her when we can. My mother is a beautiful woman of 49 with dark hair, blue eyes, long fingers and a nice voice.

My sister’s name is Svetlana. She is twenty-seven. After graduation, she began working as a marketer on Severstal.

My name is Irina. I am an office worker at the local department of education and a correspondent student at the Vologda Department of the Vologda Law University. I am in my second year.

We are a friendly family and we like to spend our free time together. In the evening we watch TV, read books, discuss the news and receive guests.I also have many relatives: uncles, aunts and cousins, because my mother has two brothers and my father has three sisters and a brother.

My Working Day

I get up at 6.00 (half past six), do my morning exercises and go to the kitchen to cook breakfast for my family and me. We have breakfast get dressed and go to kindergarten on 7.00. My working day begins at 9.30. I have lunch at 12 o’clock at the canteen in my office. I have some time to do the shopping during the lunch break.

My working day lasts till 4.00. After work I take my daughter out of kindergarten.When I come home I cook the supper, do the laundry. My husband comes home at 7 o’clock and we have supper. After supper my husband plays with our daughter or reads the newspapers and books. My daughter likes to watch TV before going to bed. She goes to bed at 9.00.

When my daughter goes to bed I can spend a few hours on my classes or papers. I usually go to bed after 12 o’clock.

We sometimes go to the cinema or theatre. But we cannot do it very often because we have to leave our daughter with my husband’s parents. They do not live with us.

My Day Off

I am an office worker at the local authorities Department of education and I am also a correspondent student at the Moscow International Law and Economics Institute after A.S.Griboyedov. I am married. My husband ia very busy man. He is a bank manger. We have a nice son whose name is Alex. He is little. We take him to the kindergarten. We are very friendly and do everything together.

I like our weekends. I get up a little later; 8 o’clock do my morning exercises, wash, dress and go to the kitchen cook breakfast. Then we have breakfast and go out to do the shopping. My husband drives us to the market. We buy everything we need for the week. When we come home I begin cook the meals for two days to make Sunday free.

In fine weather we go to the country for a few hours. Then I do not cook the meals. We make a fire in the country and cook the things on it. When the weather is bad we go to see our friends or our friends come to see us. I like cooking tasty things. We sometimes go to the cinema and to the theatre, but not very often.

As I am a student I have to go to the library on Saturday. I spend three or four hours to read up for exams and to make papers. My husband stays at home to look after our son. They like to play together.

My Friend

I have many friends, but my best friend is Victor. He is twenty-five. He is my classmate. We have known each other for more than ten years. Now we are students of the same Institute. He works with a firm and he is very busy.

In appearance he is very attractive: tall and strong with fair hair and a straight nose. He is very intelligent. When he was at school he organized a pop music group and he wanted to be a musician later. Then he changed his mind and now he is in the fourth year of the Moscow International Law and Economics Institute after A.S. Griboyedov.

Victor is also very good at sports. He plays football very well. When he was at school he took part in skating competitions. He often took prizes.

His interests are broad. He likes photography and he always takes photographs of the places he visits. He travels very much. He is married and his wife travels with him. He saw many things in our country and abroad.

He does well at the institute. He is never late for classes. He always has good marks in the subjects we study: Law, History and English. He often helps me with English papers and texts.

We have the same interests so we spend as much free time as possible. We go skiing in the winter and swimming and fishing in the summer. He goes hunting, but I do not. I do not like killing animals. My Flat (My House)

I live in new three-room flat on the fifth floor of a big block of flats in one the sleeping districts of Vologda. It is a nine-storied building of modern design. In front of it there is a large playground for children and a nice small garden with trees and flowers. Mothers take their children out for a walk on sunny days and old people like sitting on the benches to discuss the latest news.

I like my flat with modern conveniences. We have central heating, running hot and cold water, electricity and gas, telephone. There is also a lift in the house, but I walk. I never use it. I need exercise.

There are three rooms: two bedrooms and a living-room which we use as a sitting- room. I like it very much. It is our largest room with a window facing the garden. It is calm and there is not much noise outside. There is cosy sofa and two armchairs near one wall and a TV- set opposite it. We often watch TV and different films on VCR (video cassette recorder). There is a big carpet on the floor. My wife is a good pianist and there is a piano with a round stool at it. There are two pictures over the piano and a vase on it. The curtains on the large window are very nice. We like to spend our free time in this room.

The two bedrooms are very alike with beds, bedside tables some chairs and a wardrobe. There is a writing table and a chair in my bedroom, because I have to read up for my exams.

My wife is proud of our kitchen with the gas stove, refrigerator, a cupboard and a lot of shelves which I made myself. We use the kitchen as a dining room. But when we receive guests we lay the table in the sitting room. The kitchen is the place where we meet for meals and discuss our family events and plans.

The bathroom is near the kitchen. It is very convenient. We keep our toilet articles in it. We have a bath and a shower.
