My Studies
This year I finished a secondary school # 276 in Barnaul and decided to enter The Altai State University. It’s one of the finest higher educational institutions. Another advantage is that the University is situated not far from my home. So it takes me only 20 minutes to get there. I passed my entrance exams successfully and now I am a first-year student of this University. I study at the Economic Faculty. There are more than 20 students in my group. Some of them are out-of-town students, so they live in the hall of residence.
In the first year we have a lot of different subjects. I’ m especially good at Maths and English. The course of training involves the following forms of instruction: lectures, seminars, practical training, laboratory work. Our timetable is rather convenient. We usually have three classes a day. They start at 8:30 and finish at 2 p.m. But we are also required to do self-study.
I prefer to work regularly and to get good marks in all subjects. I also try not to miss classes. All this helps me to make steady progress in my studies.
The academic year consists of two terms and at the end of each term we pass our tests and are allowed or not allowed to take our exams. The examination session lasts three weeks. After it we have vacation. I hope I won’t fail my exams.
