@ - The most common abbreviation for AIESEC internally in the organization

AI - AIESEC International. Head office of AIESEC located in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

myaiesec.net - AIESEC´s world internet platform, which we use in our daily work.

Alumni - Is a former member who has been active in AIESEC and has now finished studying.

He is still actively supporting AIESEC work (e.g. give trainings, advices…)

AP GN - Asia Pacific Growth Network.

ASAP – as soon as possible

Available Status - for company or student in myaiesec.net which´s form is not matched yet (didn´t find any suitable match)

AM – Account manager, status in sales

Africa GN - One of AIESEC regions

APM - Autumn Planning Meeting, annual local conference where planning and preparation for recruitment take place, usually held in August or September

BOA - Board of Advisors

brb = be right back - A person says, he has to go for a short while

Buddy - A member who is the contact person responsible for the well being of an intern

during his or her stay in the country.

C

CEED - Cultural envoy for Exchange developement. Exchange of AIESEC members between two LCs. AIESEC members can work for a period of time in a LC abroad doing AIESEC work. Usually takes from 1 week to 6 months.

CEE GN - Central and Eastern Europe Growth Network. Russia is a part of CEE.

Delegate - Participant in a conference or seminar. Follows the complete agenda.

DT - Type of internship – Development Traineeship.

EB - Executive Board

Elect – Name for an executive board member from the time when he or she is elected and up to the time where they take over.

ET - Type of internship – Educational Internship. T stands for Traineeship.

EP – Exchange participant

EB Replacement - annual event when members may try EB role for a couple of weeks, usually held during NatCo in December

GTalk — AIESEC E-mail internal chat system. Your e-mail is used as your GTalk ID, and you can use it in Jabber clients too.

IC - International Congress. All members of Member committee executive Boards in AIESEC attend. Usually starts in the late August.

IG - Initiative group e.g. if new LC is established, it´s called first IG until fulfills some criteria, or if some countries are pilot countries for projects (e.g. Iceland is one of IG countries in HIV/AIDS project)

Inkind - Products provided for free as a sponsorship.

IPM - International President Meeting. An international congress for all MCPs in AIESEC. Usually in February.

Intern - student going on internship abroad

IXQPS - International Exchange Quality Policy Standards

ISM - Informational System Manager that admins LC informational systems such as web site, students' subscription and so on

IM - Informational Manager that manages internal communication in LC

Jives — Also known as AIESEC Dances or line dances they are an uncoordinated and ridiculous mass dances that are excellent to wake you up at sleepy conferences. Perfect for left footed AIESECers who like to dance

JS – junior sales, status in sales

JAM - January Annual Meeting, annual local conference where LCP elections take place, usually held in January

Jabber — the protocol that GTalk uses to communicate. You can use your GTalk ID (your aiesec.net e-mail) to join chats via Jabber.

LC - Local Committee. The local branches of AIESEC at universities and business schools.

LC Meeting - Meeting in the local committee to keep all members updated and discuss issues.

LCEB -Local Committee Executive Board. The administrative body which manages the LC on a day to day basis.

LCP - Local Committee President. Head of the local executive board. Maria Isaeva for this term.

LC VP - Local Committee Vice President. Member of the local executive board.

LC VP F - Local Committee Vice President Finance.

LC VP TM - Local Committee Vice President Talent Management.

LC VP ICXnc - Local Committee Vice President for Incoming Exchange (non-corporate sector)

MCEB - Member Committee Executive Board. The national board of AIESEC in Russia is Situated in Moscow.

MCP - Member Committee President. President of AIESEC in country or several countries and head of the MCEB.

MCVP - Member Committee Vice President

MEC - Member Education Cycle.

MT - Type of internship – Management internship

MENA GN -Middle East & Northern Africa Growth Network, one of AIESEC regions

Ibero-Amerika GN - One of AIESEC regions (Latin Amerika)

MPM - May Planning Meeting, annual local conference where first planning meeting with new EB takes place, usually held in May. Now it's called JUMP conference

NatCo – annual National Congress for EB s where MCP and MC VPs are elected. Held in the begining of December.

NEC – annual National Exchange Conference for future Executive Boards and Organizing committee presidents. Held in February.

New Horizons - Conference for members and team leaders, OCPs in Ukraine, usually held in December

NCRM - Non Corporate Relations Manager

OC - Organising Committee. A group of people who is arranging a pbox, seminar or conference.

PAI - President of AIESEC International.

PBox - Project Based on Exchange. Exchange

Plan-It – annual national conference for newly elected Executive Boards. Has it’s goal to plan activities for the year.

Plenary - The major room at seminars and conferences for sessions where all delegates are

together.

PromS – annual project management seminar for future OCPs. Held in the begining of august.

Reception - The part of the exchange process from arrival of the intern until the intern is back to his home country. Includes all activities.

REC – regional exchange conference for new members of AIESEC. Held in the begining of November.

Realized - Status for company or student in myaiesec.net. Intern already arrived to country for

internship and is doing his job in company.

Roll Calls - These are funny, interesting, uncomplicated war cries to liven up/ wake up a boring

plenary and make your presence felt

TN - Traineeship Nominee. A company receiving an international member for an

internship.

TT - Type of traineeship – Technical Traineeship

TTT – Train the Trainers – obligatory training for people, who want to become trainers of Facilitators.

Trainee - Name for intern in receiving country

Traineeship - The same meaning as international internship

TL - Team leader

TF - Task Force, a short term project that works out a solution for a specific problem
