East and Central European Studies (ECES) courses
The ECES program offers some places in several courses for non-ECES students. To be able to sign-up for these courses, you have to register on the website first: http://eces.ff.cuni.cz/ (In the right top corner click on „Register“.) Then, you may sign into courses which still offer free places.
IMPORTANT:
The ECES program and its courses run under specific rules and regulations, which have to be followed and are generally more strict than the faculty courses. Here are some basic rules:
-All ECES courses are taught in English.
- Attendance is mandatory for all students. Students are allowed to miss 180 minutes of class without being penalized. An absence may be excused if the student brings an official doctor’s note to the ECES office (in the Main Building, room 128 or Jindrisska). Any additional unexcused absences will lower the final grade automatically.
- Students will be graded based on the system of A through F, with pluses and minuses.
- Grades will be recorded on the ECES website.
For additional course policies, please read the ECES website: http://eces.ff.cuni.cz
