Microexpressions

Article A. Research of Dr. Paul Eckman testifies that there are a few common facial expressions that cross cultural divides; even blind people are making the same faces to express the same feelings. These aresurprise, awe, disgust, contempt, anger, sorrow and happiness

Article B. Not all visages stick around for a long time. Those that pass expeditiously are called microexpressions and are virtually indiscernible to the casual observer. Nevertheless, you may observe these microexpressions if you get a "feeling" about somebody. Don't ignore your intuition.

Article C. Eyebrows can tell much about people. They can be pushed up(sunshine), reduced and knit together (anger), or the inner corners line up (sadness). Look at someone's eyebrows and you will see it.

Article D. The one thing that can tell you more than the eyebrows are eyes. They might be widly open (surprise), intensely staring (anger), or have crow's feet crinkles (happy). Dilated pupils can indicate awe or romantic interest while fast blinking might mean improbity or stress.

Article E. The final one of the facial expression puzzle has to do with lips. Look for a dropped jaw (surprise), opened mouth(fear), one lip raised (hate), corners raised (happiness) or corners drawn down (sadness). Other signs to look for are lip biting (anxiety), preloading lips (distaste), or covering it by your hand (hiding something).
