Directions to Obrne 4C, Bohinjska Bela

From the airport:

Turn left at the exit of the airport. Initially follow signs to Ljubljana. Then when you see the first sign for Jesenice, follow these.Jesenice is a large town north of Bled. You will soon join a motorway. After about 15 minutes this will narrow down to a single carriageway. Continue for about another 10 minutes. You will pass Lesce airport on the right hand side. Continue on and you should then see a sign for Bled. Filter off right and this will take you under the road you have just driven on.

Follow signs into Bled. As you approach Bled you will drive past the golf course on the left and “Camping Sobec” on the right.

You will need to enter Bled and drive through without turning off. You will then start to approach the lake – it will be directly in front of you.

As you carry on you will bear left at the lake and continue to drive around the lake (the lake is on your right hand side.)

Continue driving around the lake and then up the hill away from Bled. You will need to follow signs to Bohinjska Bistrica and Bohinj.

	Continue driving and you will see the following road sign. This is the first right turning to Bohinjska Bela. Ignore this first turning and carry on.

You should continue along this road for about 2kms and then see the second turning to Bohinjska Bela as shown. It now also shows “Obrne” which is the village where the house is located.   Turn right here.   You will start to go back on yourself and see a gun turret/pill box on your left.   This is a bendy road with steep sides so drive carefully!  

After a few bends you should see a blue bus stop sign on the right hand side.   It looks like this in the dark!   It looks like this in daylight!   Directly opposite the bus stop there is a driveway on the left hand side leading up to a group of houses.  

As you proceed up the drive (still on tarmac) you should bear right up an unmade road as shown in the picture.   Continue up to the top and our house is the second on the right – 4c.   You will hopefully recognise the house from this picture.   Hope you had a good journey and have a lovely holiday!
