INTRODUCTION TO LOGISTICS

Logistics describes the organized movement of physical materials in a factory. It is usually subdivided into materials management, which is control of the efficient and effective flow of materials in the factory, from the arrival of raw materials to the packaging of the product; and distribution management, which inc1udes the storage of goods and their transportation to distributors and consumers.

At the same time, efficient logistics needs efficient documentation flow for the goods from storage to destination. The process of distribution involves different means of transportation and requires secure packaging.
