Control of imported foodstuffs

One of the principal duties of the port health authority is the inspection of all foodstuffs entering the port. А fully qualified staff is stationed in each dock group and а constant watch is kept on foodstuffs during discharge for evidence of spoi1age during transit and again while they remain stored in the dock warehouses, for any deterioration there. Where necessary, samples are drawn for submission to the public analyst or bacteriologist.
