ADEM CAM 3X MACHINIG: PRACTICAL COURSE
This lesson is dedicated to the NC program generation for 3X milling machine operation. It consist of 3 parts:
· 3D model preparation
· Roughing
· Finishing
ADEM CAM lets you assign machine operations to 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional models created in the ADEM CAD or imported models. You can also edit and simulate machine operations and instruct ADEM CAM to generate and save your NC (Numeric Control) program.
The output of the ADEM CAM module usually is an NC program that will control the machining process. The NC program is associated with the geometrical model, created in ADEM or imported from another CAD system. Association means that any changes you make in the geometry of already defined construction entities will automatically force the NC module to change the tool path correspondingly for those entities.
On the picture below you can see a sample part. During this practical course we will step-by-step generate NC program for it’s machining.
In the first topic of the practical course we will learn how to prepare a 3D model for machining (Opening a project, Viewing, The workplane and coordinate systems commands, Preprocessor command).
In the second topic of the practical course we will examine a question of Roughing (Creating a machining path, Calculating and simulating, Saving results).
In the second topic we will create a finishing machining (Creating Construction Entities, Calculating a machining path, Simulating a finishing machining).
Before you can start passing this course it is strongly recommended to pass the «CAD/CAM ADEM. Getting Started» courses.

| ▪ | Before you start this course, copy a file phraze1.inifrom its location\ADEM\Help\Tutorial to “ADEM/ncm” folder. This file contains all the default setting of the ADEM CAM module. |
