Tool Home Position

Tool Home Position, also called the zero of a part cycle, is a spatial position of the tool's set point defined by XYZ coordinates set at the beginning or at the end of the machine operation. Either a spindle's or a tool-holder's set point, or the vertex of some operating or no-op tool, is set as a tool's set point.

To create the Home Position machine command:

1. Click the Home Position button on the Machine Commands toolbar. The Home dialog box appears.
2. Enter value 40 into the Z coordinate box.
3. Click OK. A new machine command "Home" has been created. The name of the machine command appears on the status line (MO:# Home).
