Work in pairs and discuss what is better to read or to speak a presentation. Think about the advantages and disadvantages of these two approaches to giving a presentation.

3. a) Today most presenters prefer to use PowerPoint. What are the advantages of using such a tool? Work in groups and prepare tips which can help you to make perfect slides. Present your ideas to the class.

b) Look again at the perfect slide characteristics and try to guess the meaning of the letters in the acronym SLIDE. Some hints are given (see the appendix 2 for detailed information).
