3. Write a similar poem substituting the given Gerunds with your own ones and take part in the contest for the best poem.

4. Read the sentences. Comment on the forms of the Gerund. Decide which forms express:

• an action simultaneous with that expressed by the finite verb;

• an action prior to the action expressed by the finite verb;

• 'passive' meaning.
