Cancer can be treated before it spreads to other organs or tissues. 10. The doctor is the most familiar profession in the health field, because most people turn to a doctor for advice when they are sick. 11. The vessels become smaller as they extend farther from the heart. 12. When compared to arteries, the walls of the veins are thinner and contain less elastic tissue and fewer smooth-muscle cells.
