Background Information

Each group (3 students) prepare basic investment and portfolio analysis of 2 selected investment funds based on risk factors, objectives, and the portfolio structure. The Presentation should be no longer than 15 minutes and be given to help the private or institutional client understand the report and the portfolio risks. The team will present own Project in two forms:

• a written report for the client and
• a presentation of the results to the client.

The Project presented to the client must include visuals presentation and highlight the key results and recommendations of the report. The research will involve analyzing portfolio, risks, and making a recommendation on the stock, bonds or any selected assets.

Scope of Project Work

The Research and Presentation Project should include:

• identifying client profile
• analysing briefly main assets in portfolio
• evaluating existing and potential risks

• identifying correlation among different class of assets
• analysing inflation, interest rate, bonds prices, yields and stock price fluctuations
• recommending changes in portfolio
• formulating sound and relevant conclusion based on presented analysis.

Rules of Project Work

· the Project is to be prepared exclusively by the students (group) and outside the classroom.

· the group is free to choose any investment fund for the Project

· the objectives and the methodology to be used should be discuss with lecturer

· the final topic for the research and presentations has to be approved by the lecturer.

Project Timetable and Format of Project Report

Groups Submit Choices for Their Companies end of week 3 of the spring semester:

• groups submit 1 names of global or international investment fund
• the proposal is approved if f there are no overlapping funds across groups and classes
• the funds have information available to the public,
• the groups are given their first choice
• the final versions of Project Reports should be submitted in electronic versions not later than

in week 10.

• the final paper copy of the Project Report and Presentation (identical with the electronic version) should be submitted to the lecturer during the final presentations.

Suggested Individual Meetings with Faculty. Groups may benefit by meeting (after class) with the instructor so that they have confidence just prior to their final version of the Project Report. Such meetings may also serve as an additional progress check.
