ELECTRICIAN

 

 

GENERAL

The Chief Engineer is the Head of the Machinery Department and is responsible to the Master for the safe, efficient and economical operation and maintenance of all deck and engine room machinery with associated systems, safety in the machinery area, prevention of pollution from engine room sources including bunkers and sludge disposal.

The Chief Engineer has the authority to give relevant orders to the other Engineer Officers and Ratings and can request training if required for their competence.

WORKING HOURS

Normal working hours is as follows:

For non-watch going personnel:

Monday - Friday 08:00 – 17:00 hrs (Period of working Time at Day)

Saturday 08:00 - 15:00 hrs “

Sunday /Holiday 08:00 - 12:00 hrs

Break Time 12:00 – 13:00 hrs

TEA-TIMES

Morning: 10:00 hrs – 10:15 hrs (in tropic waters 20 min)

Afternoon: 15:00 hrs – 15:15 hrs (in tropic waters 20 min)
