Stand and Presentation must be in English

ü Economy
Stand and Presentation must be in English (except geography)
Humanities and language
ü History
ü Kazakh
ü English
ü Russian
ü Turkish
ü Hukuk jane kogam
ü Ozine out tanu
Stand and Presentation must be in their own language.
Social issues
ü Projects based on social problems of Kazakhstan or your own district/city/oblast
ü Projects can be prepared by any language (Kazakh,English)
COORDINATOR RULES
1. The YIPC is open to all students who are studying in grades 7 to 11.
2. Students are required to compete with only one project each year.
3. Maximum number of presenting team should be only two students accompanying with one supervisor.
5. The stands for the exhibition will be provided by the YIPC Coordination Center. Size of the stand
The body Part size: 120x80cm. | The Table part size: 120x52 cm |
6. Project stands will be given for each project in exhibition hall. Participating team is required to provide their own extra materials relating to project. Project stands includes display table and display board. The models or applications can be displayed on the table but printed information; posters, banners, and ads need to be shown on the board.

Beginning of Application: March 21, 2014
Application Deadline: April 12, 2014
Announcement of Finalist Projects: April 20, 2014
Competition: May 02 – 04, 2014
AWARDS
All participants are awarded with participation certificate of YIPC in addition of them the YIPC provides Awards for first, second and third places in each category. Awards are medal diplomas and Money (Tenge).

Section: Science -Technology and Humanities
1st place: 100000
2nd place: 75000
3rd place: 50000
JUDGING CRITERIA
The jury member must have an academic career or must be a member of a university education board.
The following should be judged:
ü How well that student understands the Project.
ü How well the student followed the scientific method.
ü The detail and accuracy of research as documented.
ü Whether experimental procedures were used in the best possible way.
ü A project should involve laboratory, field or theoretical work and not just literature and internet survey.
Exhibits/projects are judged on the following basis:
ü the questions asked?
ü the approach to solving the problem?
ü the analysis of the data?
ü the interpretation of the data?
ü the use of equipment?
Scientific Thought (30 pts),
ü Is the problem stated clearly?
ü Is there a procedural plan for obtaining a solution?
ü How completely has the problem been covered in the project?
ü Is the student aware of other approaches or theories concerning the project?
ü Was adequate time spent on the project?
ü Is the student familiar with the scientific literature in the field in which the work was done?
