Project's Description

Young people of fewer opportunities are the centre piece of this training, furthering practitioners working with young people abilities, enabling the exchange of experience and knowledge base as well as sharing best practice.

The inter cultural dimension of this Training Course (TC) will be focused on the countries of the participants involved with a particular focus on Belarus and Belarusian participants to tackle barriers specifically applying to partnerships. The joint work of this six day long course will cover sharing and exchanging experiences, as well as creating a network between organisations working on the topic at hand, while seeking for subjects that would raise more attention and gain interest for further cooperation particularly with the Eastern Partnership Window countries.

Through non-formal and informal approaches the TC will be offering the opportunity to obtain a possible upgrade of their abilities and knowledge, share experiences, develop new skills, tools and methods, and therefore contribute for creating and building a society with less stereotypes, prejudices or discrimination for young people coming from families with fewer opportunities in the society.

Our intention is to further develop youth work through the 'Eastern Partnership Window' by sharing good practice and the diverse histories of youth work in the participating partner countries. Informal learning is a powerful tool, and we are planning to multiply the affects of this training by following it up.

This TC will:

-introduce and further develop participants knowledge and awareness of youth work. -introduce Belarus as a viable partner country while reaching out to young people from rural or deprived urban areas;

- demonstrate how to use innovative methods to attract, engage and work with young people of fewer opportunities, across Europe, but also specifically concentrating on those in or from Eastern EU countries as particularly Belarus;

The project will be based on best practice in the YiA field, where we are very experienced, and will use tools and methods from our extensive resource base;

Therefore non-formal learning will take place in and out of workshop sessions through interaction of participants, but also by visiting local establishment whose work directly relates to the TC theme and content.
