European Youth Society Association (Turkey)

The association has been established so as to provide activation and development of the activities regarding civil society between Turkey and the member countries of European Union to carry out activities related to the common culture, arts and the environment.Furthermore, the association aims to support the individuals and the organizations working on this kind of issues.

Asociatia pentru Sustinerea Initiativelor Studentilor si Tinerilor "ASIST" (Moldova)

ASIST is a non-governmental youth organisation. The mission of ASIST is to support student and youth initiatives on different levels in respect to civil society consolidation. The main goals of the Association is to help develop the community of students and youth from Republic of Moldova, to share the values of an open and democratic society, to develop civic activism and encourage civil participation, to have an input to the system of education and encourage active citizenship.

Media development centre "Dialogue" (Ukraine)

Itis not a profitable organisation, directed to facilitate the emergence of a democratic civil society and media in the Luhansk region (Ukraine). Among the main organisation’s priorities are exploring media market, the development of publishing, mass-media and media infrastructure. We foster a culture of fair and free journalism, as well as support the independence and media transparency.

Methodology

Methodology will mix theoretical and practical learning sessions. Working methods will be interactive and participants’ active involvement will be stimulated by trainer/facilitators throughout the course. Questions, groups and individual works, sharing and brainstorming activities will be used to reassure better concepts’ understanding and assimilation.

More specifically, the methodology will consist of:

1) Enriched lectures.

2) Group discussions and reflections.

3) Action methods (workshop teaching mode).

4) Peer exchange of good practices.

5) Interactive sessions.

The Venue

Minsk is the capital of Belarus and the biggest city in Belarus with 1,8 million inhabitants. Minsk is mentioned in script the first time about year 1067, which means that Minsk is older than European cities like Moscow and Stockholm. Big parts of Minsk were destroyed in the Second World War and were rebuilt during the Soviet time. This means that Minsk has a lot of nice soviet-time architecture and city planning.

You will be staying at Kalodishi, it is a remote part of Minsk which is not too far away from the city itself. In the evening it will not be very expensive to get a taxi to go into or coming back from city centre.

The house, Kinonia, is a big house, with big kitchen, big room for meetings, sauna (please take your swimming costumes in case you decide to use it), extensive patio and table games. You will live in rooms for 2, 4 or 5 people.

The house has WI-FI so all participants are free to use internet.

Food

The food will be provided and cooked at the venue. Mainly it will consist of traditional Belarusian cuisine.
