The Problem of Youth Unemployment

This document contains some practical information about the training course and your arrival.

GENERAL INFORMATION

THE COURSE:

We invite the youth to find a solution to unemployment, which is one of the biggest problems Europe and the world face.

Through trainings and professional discussions, 24 youngsters from 8 countries (EU and EECA) will learn about major reasons triggering unemployment, as well as will have an opportunity to learn their rights and duties.

Representatives from various countries can also share and exchange their experiences with unemployment.

Within 7 days, the participants will make presentations by analyzing unemployment problems, then they will present it to others in order to learn of other countries problems and discuss the results.

The final result of the training course will not only be raised self-esteem and empowerment of participants, but also wider awareness of the problems of unemployment and some positive solutions.

Training will empower participants to share their knowledge on the topic and professional trainers will provide competitive information on the training topic.

The professionally designed program will allow participants not only to share their experience, but also get acquainted with the legislation and official point of view of the politicians. Together the campaign will give a floor to the organized Youth Organization Exhibition in order to establish new contacts and make Youth in Action Programme more visual and promote new projects within Youth in Action Programme.

AIMS & OBJECTIVES:

INTERCULTURAL EVENING

During the training, one evening will be set aside as an intercultural evening where participants are encouraged to share their culture, beliefs and traditions.

Each country will be allocated a space to give a presentation, show pictures or videos of the area/country they live in. It would also be nice if you could share materials about your project and the things you do.

There is also an opportunity to share food and drink, so please bring with you some items which are typical of your area for people to try, it is also possible to share your music or material culture if possible.

BAKU

Baku is the capital and largest city of Azerbaijan, as well as the largest city of the Caspian Caucasus region. Baku is located 28 metres (92 ft) below sea level, which makes it the largest city in the world located below sea level

Baku is located on the southern shore of the Absheron Peninsula, which projects into the Caspian Sea. The city consists of two principal parts: the down town area and the old Inner City (21.5 ha). At the beginning of 2009, Baku's urban population was estimated at just over two million people, officially, about 25% of all inhabitants of the country live in Baku's metropolitan area.
