In December 2012 Alexander Klyachin (the owner of "Metropol" hotel and hotel chain "Azimuth") acquired a controlling stake in the company. Previously R-Style’s major shareholders were its founders - Vyacheslav Mines and Vasily Vasin, who used to own 53% and 12.62% of shares, respectively.[53]
Therefore, the company is owned by a group of individuals and the state does not participate in the ownership. However, a large portion of R-Style’s revenue is generated by government contracts (up to 30%),[54] which is a powerful lever of influence.
Internationalization
R-Style started its internationalization in 1994 when it set up a subsidiary in Kiev, Ukraine. R-Style Softlab Kiev is a subdivision of R-Style Softlab and it successfully solves the problem of localization of R-Style’s brand products in eight CIS countries (Ukraine, Moldova, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan) and Mongolia.[55] R-Style Softlab Kiev provides comprehensive automation of virtually all the activities of a universal bank.[56]
In 2008 the company’s branch in Alma-Ata, R-Style Softlab Almaty, was opened. The main task of this division is to promote modern banking automation products in the market of Kazakhstan. In the future the company is going to expand the scope of activities of the Almaty office to implementation and maintenance of software.[57] In the same year R-Style’s official representative in Armenia appeared - Smart-Tech LTD.
In 2012 R-Style opened its R&D office in Minsk, Belarus. Soon R-Style Belarus became one of the leaders of IT industry in the country.
