According to Vedomosti sourse, In November 2012, RF Government owned 51% of shares (38.9% belong to Rosimushchestvo)[12], 25% to National Media Group (governed by U. Kovalchuk), the rest – to organizations, gob=verned by R. Obramovich.[13] However, if we assume that 54,96 % of National Media Group belong to “Rossiya” bank, regarded to be under the influence of V. Putin[14], the percentage of state Influence may raise approx. to 64%.

The language of broadcasting is Russian. Still, the programmes are available in CIS countries[15]:

ABOUT
The All-Russia State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company (Vserossiyskaya gosudarstvennaya televizionnaya i radioveshchatelnaya kompaniya), shortly VGTRK is a Russian state-owned unitary enterprise which operates large numbers television and radio channels. It was founded in 1990. As 2010 VGTRK broadcasts own programs in 53 languages.[17]
In early 1993, the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company acquired the status of a national broadcasting company. That same year, the VGTRK became a full member of the European Broadcasting Union, entitled to key decisions in the EBU operation, and the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (АBU).
In 1998 all media assets were merged by the decree of the Russian president into a holding company. So Russia got the largest corporation of the state electronic media, which is present in all niches today’s Russian television.[18]
