It’s actually a trendy Taiwanese restaurant popular with the 20-something crowd, where waitresses are dressed to match the black-and-white decor. Taiwanese specialities on offer include three-cup chicken and pineapple fried rice, but when the mercury rises it’s the shaved-ice desserts and smoothies that bring in the crowds.

Be sure to look out for the excellent Zhejiang dishes on the menu, including Shaoxing drunken chicken and individual portions of tender dongpo rou (stewed pork fat).
