The forms of the Gerund are:

  Active Passive
Simple V-ing being V3
Perfect having V3 having been V3

The Gerund is used:

But: would like / would love / would prefer + to-infinitive to express specific preference. E.g. I would like to paint your portrait.

 

1. Choose the correct preposition and fill in the gaps with the gerund of the verb in brackets.
