Посібник складається з текстів, які взяті з оригінальних джерел і стосуються таких основних тем спецкурсу як: “Географія Великої Британії”, “Мова і мовний етикет”, “Населення Великої Британії: Національні особливості”, “Політична система Великої Британії”, “Економічна система Великої Британії”, “ Звичаї та традиції у Великої Британії”. Кожен текст закінчується лексичним коментарем, який пояснює українською мовою невідомі реалії або мовні труднощі та питаннями для обговорення. Після кожного тексту подається коротка інформація на розмаїту тематику, яка не могла бути включена до основного розділу спецкурсу. Сюди включені тексти про релігію країни, освіту, особливості національного характеру, економічне і сільськогосподарське життя, погоду, тощо.
